When restating your goal, make sure it is a complete set up statement that has your target behavior AND goal listed. Do not write a vague goal, it should be specific. just 6 sentences

I have responded to my classmates about third post. I have two post two share with you for each post only 3-4 sentences to respond make very simple and easy

First post.
I’ve recently been having discussions with family and such about what’s essential, and what should be allowed to stay open. The less you close the less economic downfall but the more potential for it to spread. The government seems to be sending the message of all non-esential businesses should be shut down but that doesn’t seem to be what’s happening. I would think “essential” would mean grocery stores, gas stations and any other businesses required to keep those running like truckers and companies that make food maybe hardware stores, some basic stuff like that.

There are many things that are open and are trying to claim they are essential that probably shouldn’t be open like Game Stop only closed recently and they had tried to justify themselves by saying they sell mice and keyboards people could need to work at home. Staples is still open, are they really essential? They also cover the basis that Game Stop was claiming, as does Best Buy how much redundancy do we need? It’s a hard line to draw and not many businesses are going to want to close.

The more things close the fewer reasons people have to go out and the sooner things can start to get better, but some businesses and people are going to have a very hard time recovering from this. I personally think it would be better to close more things down and hope for a speedy recovery but it’s hard to know how much that might help businesses open quicker and if that potentially speedier recovery would make up for the complete loss of income for those businesses.

Disease Model Versus Positive Psychology Worksheet

Read the scenario and answer the questions in no less than 200 words each. Support your responses with detail from this week’s assigned video and reading. Include APA-formatted citations and references.

William is a 44-year old project manager for a large commercial construction firm. He started out as a gifted carpenter who greatly enjoyed designing and building custom furniture. However, after several promotions, he focuses on bringing in new business. He spends many work hours at his computer or on the telephone. He is divorced and rarely sees his two daughters. In recent years, he has gained weight and is displeased with his appearance, but has no interest in or energy for exercise. He does not sleep well because he worries about business problems at night. He was recently diagnosed with high blood pressure. Although he is financially secure, he rarely takes vacations or socializes outside of the office. He has begun to feel that his life is pointless.

  1. Discuss William’s situation from the perspective of traditional psychology. What information would be most important? What conclusions and recommendations might be made by a psychologist working from the disease model?
  2. Discuss William’s situation from the perspective of positive psychology. What information would be most important? What conclusions and recommendations might be made by a psychologist working from the positive psychology model?

***Comment this***

A heart attack condition happens when an individual’s flow of blood to the heart is obstructed. This obstruction comes as a result of a buildup of fat, cholesterol and other substances, which form a plaque in the arteries that feed the heart (coronary arteries). The plaque eventually breaks away and forms a clot. The interrupted blood flow can damage or destroy part of the heart muscle. A heart attack, also called a myocardial infarction, can be fatal, but treatment has improved dramatically over the year. The following steps are necessary to be included in prevention and health promotion of heart attack (“Heart Disease Prevention | MedlinePlus,” 2019):

  • Making sure you have enough sleep. If you don’t get enough sleep, you raise your risk of high blood pressure, obesity, and diabetes. Those three things can raise your risk for heart disease. Most adults need 7 to 9 hours of sleep per night.
  • Manage stress. Stress can be linked to heart attack in various ways. Extreme stress can cause heart attack and also the various ways of coping with stress can also cause the disease.
  • Avoid or quit smoking. Cigarette smoking can raise the blood pressure and put you at a higher risk for stroke and heart attack.
  • Regular exercise. Exercise has many benefits, including strengthening your heart and improving your circulation. It can also help you maintain a healthy weight and lower cholesterol and blood pressure. All of these can lower your risk of heart disease.
  • Limit alcohol. Drinking too much alcohol can raise your blood pressure. It also adds extra calories, which may cause weight gain. Both of those raise your risk of heart disease

adventure of the german student

Washington Irving is an American Romantic writer whose short stories often reflect the movement away from Enlightenment thinking with its insistence on the authority of Reason and its ability to verify objective reality to Romantic views that assert the power of the imagination and the emotion to create its own (subjective) reality.

In the short story “Adventure of the German Student”, Irving evokes the theme of the power of the imagination over reason in creating its own reality.

In a well thought out and composed essay, illustrate how this theme is evoked through Irvings use of setting (day/night, historical period-French Rev/Reign of Terror, Germany/France), character (Wolfgang, Woman, Police Officer), imagery(catacombs, decay, storm), and symbols (guillotine, overturn statue Henry IV-“head of State).

For example, in regard to characters, they may be seen as representing this theme with the Woman as representing Imagination and a subjective reality and the Police officer as representing Reason with his certainty of the woman’s history and the way he tests reality through the physical senses in the end. Wolfgang, the student, may represent the movement from Reason to Imagination in the action of the story.

inside an apache rite of passage into womanhood

minimum of 250 words and should answer these questions:

activity should be carried out after you have watched the film, Inside an Apache Rite of Passage Into Womanhood.

  • How would you describe the steps to a Mescalero Apache Puberty Rite? Explain what each step means and how it proceeds. What does the woman who is the protagonist of the ritual have to do to prepare for it? What do the parents of the woman have to do to prepare for this ritual? You may use this prezi (Links to an external site.) as well as the film to answer this question.
  • Research other “puberty rites of passage” and explain in detail of another such rite of passage in a different culture. How does it differ from the Mescalero Apache rite of passage? What aspects of it are similar to the Mescalero Apache rite of passage?
  • A puberty rite of passage is a cultural event that marks an individual’s transition between childhood and puberty. What would you say are the main concepts that are involved in a puberty rite of passage? Here you could use concepts such as empowerment, responsibility, belonging, choice, etc.
  • How do you think the events in both the Mescalero Apache rite of passage and the puberty rite of passage that you researched correlate to Victor Turner’s phases in a rite of passage: separation, liminality and aggregation?

marine policy project part 3

Part 3: Identify “Targets” for the Letter of Appeal (20 points)

The goal here is to get an argument into the hands of someone that can and will do something about your issue. Although the President of the United States can do something about many ocean-related issues, it is highly unlikely he or she will. Therefore, Presidents, Prime Ministers, or the Secretary-General of the United Nations are not good choices because they are busy with other issues!

It is best to target elected officials at the local or regional levels; they are much more likely to be familiar with the issue locally and its effect on the communities they represent. Former students have had little success in the past with congress and senate members. The targets can also be individuals within corporations and/or research institutes. International targets are perfectly acceptable. College professors love to talk about their research topic!

When researching targets, research their background, and how long they have been in office or at their job. Find out what their position is on the issue; many should have a website with stated policy positions. Make sure to collect and submit full contact information for each target; full addresses will be needed the formal letters in MPP Part 4.

For Grading Part 3:

Submit a list of at least 3 “targets” with a brief explanation the purpose for each target, including their relevance to the issue, policy positions, and any personal connection to the issue. For full credit on this assignment, include specific names of an individual within each target organization, and full address information for each target.
