In The Old School Command And Control Methods Of Leadership The Leader Was Held

In the “old school” command and control methods of leadership, the leader was held responsible for results and the followers were responsive to the leader (as in, “When I say, Jump, you say, How high”).  Modern leadership theories take an opposite position (followers are responsible for results and leaders are responsive to the followers needs).  Pick one of the theories discussed in this chapter and explain how it supports this new perspective of responsibility.  Which version of leadership do you feel will yield more effective results- old school or contemporary? Explain and support your opinion.

Be sure to use resources to support your ideas.  Response to two peers is required.
