I Have Created The Choropleth Map And Slider Using D3 Js Right Now I Am Confused

I have created the choropleth map and slider using d3 js. Right now I am confused how to use d3.filter to filter the data and then let the map change the color with silders moving to different points.

How could I create interaction between the map and slider? When I use slider to move certain points and the color of some regions in the map will change.
