On one hand, those who oppose involuntary medication argue that it goes against the patient’s right to autonomy and self-determination. those who support the practice also argue that its use is for the best interest of the patient and the bigger population. This essay shall discuss this issue, arguing both sides of the issue, and taking a stand or position on the debate, while also discussing the counterarguments to the position taken. Body Involuntary treatment is defined as medical treatment administered to the patient without his consent. In most cases, this treatment is seen in mentally ill patients especially those who are deemed by the court or by mental health professionals as dangerous (Kallert, et.al., 2011). Individuals with mental health illnesses are generally attributed the same right as other patients to self-determination. However, this has not always been the case. For many years, individuals with mental health issues have been struggling against a negative stigma about their competence and their safety in society (Kallert, et.al., 2011). At present, the negative stigma has been questioned by health professionals who argue that mental illness does not necessarily imply an inability to make sound decisions. Involuntary mental health treatment can be applied in numerous contexts. The most common is the court-ordered commitment to inpatient mental facilities. It also includes the involuntary medication as imposed by mental health professionals and treatment imposed for specific prisoners who may indeed pose a danger to themselves and others (MHA, 2013). Mental illness is hardly a crime. however, there are times when individuals suffering from mental illness manifest unfavorable and illegal behavior (Freckelton and Petersen, 2006). Violations carried out by individuals with mental illnesses can come about in various ways. The mental condition of an accused at the time the act was committed is an essential element in proving intent (Freckelton and Petersen, 2006). Whether or not the accused offender during the commission of the offense was able to distinguish between right from wrong can be considered in the determination of his case. Kendra’s Law has been implemented in New York since 1999. This law ensured the involuntary commitment and treatment of individuals following court determination of the mental illness, even without the consent of the individuals deemed mentally ill (Carpinello, 2005). In general, this law has been able to secure significant benefits for the patients and for the general public’s safety. In fact in a long-term study published in the Psychiatric Services journal (Phelan, et.al., 2010), significant benefits in assisted outpatient treatment has been seen. The study also found that the group not receiving AOT was twice likely to be arrested as compared to the group who received it. For those receiving AOT, the possibility of any arrest was at 2.66 times greater before their participation than after (Phelan, et.al., 2010). Finally, for those undergoing AOT, the possibility of arrest for violent offenses was 8.61 times higher before their participation in AOT than after. It is important to apply involuntary treatment for patients who present a danger to self and others. In the case of Washington v.

It was further found that 51.5% of the total population of the state are female and the remaining 48.5% are male. 53% of the total population identify themselves as Caucasian, 18% as Hispanic, 8% as Asians, and remaining as native individuals.

The health status of New York State operates a state-based marketplace that is known as the NY State of Health. It is designed to help and support people to shop and enroll for health insurance coverage along with comparing insurance coverage and costs. The marketplace also helps people to check their eligibility for healthcare programs such as Medicaid. The marketplace helps people to know about the financial assistance that plays an important role in availing relevant medical and healthcare services. 2The state seems to be expanding its medical and healthcare coverage for low-income adults in order to enhance their wellbeing.

Fiscal capacity of a state can be defined as the ability of a governmental jurisdiction to transform economic activities within its geographical boundaries into the public spending. The idea is to raise revenue along with keeping a transparent approach in terms of presenting data and information to the public. 3 Thus, the economic capacity of states is based on taking into the account the income produced, income received from the residents, and total property wealth along with relevant expenses on the public needs and demands. Based on the State Health Facts, it was found that the state fiscal capacity for the year 2013 fell short by $2,000 million and that was around the total shortfall of 3.4%. This was mainly because of the expenses that affected the total earnings and thus the shortfall.&nbsp.

Hello, I am looking for someone to write an essay on New York 16 oz. Soda Ban. It needs to be at least 2500 words.

As statistics show, Americans ingest approximately 55 billion liters of soda yearly, this add up to about 214 liters or 55 gallons per individual.2 This accounts for a large amount of sugary content consumed by one person considering the composition include high level of fructose corn syrup which not only is the top calories source but also the key cause of obesity. Lancet in his research on consumption of soda and childhood obesity demonstrated that:

The 12 year olds who drank soft beverages regularly are usually overweight that those who don’t. Those that consume diet soda are indeed consuming poison, since diet soda compose of artificial sweeteners and not caloric sweeteners. They also do nothing to curb obesity, since diet soda and obesity are related in different ways .3

In the year 2010, USA researchers reported that 25,000 people who died were connected to sugary drinks. the beverages were linked with 133,000 victims died of diabetes, 6,000 victims died of cancer and 44,000 victims died of heart disease.4

Although industries involved in producing soft drinks would react against the Michael Bloomberg’s idea to impose a ban on sodas, with the belief that business is more important than the public’s health, they should however admit that a disease like obesity and diabetes is a key issue that not only affect their customers but the whole society at large.

Sugar-sweetened drinks are the leading cause of obesity which awareness simply isn’t enough anymore. When we are serious about fighting obesity then we have to be honest about it and courageous about how to tackle it. We believe it is reasonable and responsible to draw a conclusion.5

People’s freedom of choice is also affected. The society, a vehicle of tax of tax payers, who in return have to perform their duty, the score of it helping to cater for medical costs are liked with diseases like obesity, disability and overweight, not forgetting expenses in their

Hello, I am looking for someone to write an essay on Networking Topic. It needs to be at least 500 words.

To begin with wireless networking, the first thing needed is a “high speed internet connection at the place where you want to use wireless networking” such as digital subscriber line (DSL) or WI-FI (Software Reviews). Other requirements include wireless networking adapter or a PC card adapter, a modem and a network hub. In case of wide-ranging wireless networking, it is always sensible to use an HP Network Assistant “to validate your wired and wireless network settings” (Hewlett-Packard Development Company). Wireless networks are based on IEEE 802.11 standards which is a set of standards developed by IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers) to carry out WLAN technology with specifications or protocols like 802.11a, 802.11b, 802.11g, 802.11n having frequency bandwidth of 2.4, 3.6 and 5 GHz.

Three main types of wireless networks are WLAN, WPAN and WMAN. Wireless Local Area Networks (WLANs) enable a user to connect to a local area network through wireless networking, like a small network in a house or an office. WLANs use radio waves for information transmission and are based on IEEE 802.11 standards. An example is Wi-Fi which is a fast speed wireless technology connecting devices for quick file sharing. Wireless Personal Area Networks (WPANs) connect two devices which are present close to each other or within personal reach. An example is Bluetooth which can “transmit at relatively low power and have a range of only 30 feet or so” (Bradley). Wireless Metropolitan Area Networks (WMANs) cover a larger geographic area and interconnect WLANs to one another. Another name used for WLANs is WiMAX (Worldwide Interoperability for Microwave Access) which is a digital telecommunication technology based on IEEE 802.16 standards and supplies broadband wireless access covering a very large area.

To maintain security of wireless networks is a bit difficult as compared to wired networks. The reason for this is that it is easier to

Hello, I am looking for someone to write an essay on Nursing Homes and Assisted Livings for Elderly. It needs to be at least 1750 words.

Download file to see previous pages…

Long-term care facilities are group-housing environments that provide services for those who lack some capacity for self-care. There are many different LTC facility types (e.g., assisted living, residential care, adult foster care, nursing homes), established and operated according to federal, state, and local regulations and licensing requirements (Dobbs, 2004).

The dominant feature of all LTC facility types is arguably the level of care provided. The facility license stipulates the level of care allowed and the training and experience requirements for staff. Unfortunately, care levels are not classified according to the same system for each type of facility making it difficult to directly compare facility types. For example, nursing homes are licensed to provide skilled and/or intermediate care, terms established in federal regulations (Dobbs, 2004). Skilled care is a level of care that requires services that can only be performed safely by a licensed nurse whereas intermediate care is health-related care and services that do not necessarily require licensed practitioners. In contrast, assisted living, residential care, and adult foster care are licensed under state regulations based on the activities of daily living requirements (ADLs) of individuals. The ADLs measure individuals’ physical, cognitive, and behavioral functioning. A common ADL measure is whether the individual is “independent,” “dependent,” or “needs assistance” with bathing, dressing, toileting, transferring, continence, and eating. Arguably, the most important factor to influence both the older individuals’ relocation to a LTC facility and the type of LTC facility chosen is the level of care needed, that is, the individuals’ physical and functional limitations and degree of cognitive impairment. Other factors include financial status, availability of supportive family and friends, and regional case management practices. The four facility types are described below. Assisted Living Facilities Assisted living facilities (ALFs) are one of the newest living arrangements for elders, designed around a social rather than a medical model of care. In many ways, the function of assisted living is fairly clear: it is a congregate housing alternative for seniors who are unable to live independently, but who do not require the intensive skilled nursing services available in nursing homes.

Hello, I am looking for someone to write an essay on Nursing 101. It needs to be at least 1000 words.

Therefore, clinical care delivery and clinical learning experiences of a student nurse like me would ideally also drift from the conventional system. I am too novice to comment on this, and I am sure once my studies go in a full throttle, things will appear as they are.

As is evident, in a healthcare setting dominated by specialists and super specialists, there is possibility of some kind of fragmentation of the care, and in my opinion, to avoid such, a holistic concept of people, health, wellness, and healing needs to be used. I know, a holistic perspective focuses on all dimensions of an individual, including physiological, psychological, social, cultural, cognitive, and spiritual. It has a philosophy inherent in this, and this philosophy, I believe, creates the fundamental paradigm of nursing as a profession. Although I am new in this field, I am given to understand that nursing is an art and science of caring and healing that promotes health. The spiritual aspect of nursing is very much relevant to even modern healthcare in the sense that at least spirit may indicate a will to live. This is the life force within a person and spirituality indicates the presence of this phenomenon. However, this is intangible and cannot be located. Without going in to the debate whether it is related to religious aspects of human life, scientific evidence suggests that loss of this life force is detrimental to survival. This concept encompasses a concern or caring that extends from ourselves to others, meaning as the nurse has care and concern for her won existence and survival, they should face the other with an equal concern for their existence and survival (Bunkers, SS., 2008).

Disease is a process that expresses in a human being as a result of reaction to the environment, and according to my philosophy, nursing is a process by which the art of caring is manifested. This art of caring, of course, is guided by the philosophical approaches to define

Hello, I am looking for someone to write an essay on NETFLIX CASE STUDY- FINANCE AND COMPANY ANALYSIS. It needs to be at least 4000 words.

Netflix was actually formed with the idea to provide Rental DVDs to customers without taking any charges from the customer for returning the DVDs late. Initially the company was taking late charges from their customers but after two years, Netflix changed their strategy and no late payment was charged for returning the DVDs late. The company also introduced the subscription services in which customers could select 4 movies rentals per month for a fee i.e. $15.95 per month. After few months, company offered unlimited plan for rental DVDs in which subscriber can have as many DVDs as they like for only a flat fee $19.95 per month. This scheme led to the success of company and its website volume grew by more than 300 percent. Company also made IPO of 5.5 million shares to raise capital of $82.5 in 2002 in order to expand its business.

In the mid of 2011, Netflix changed its pricing and service structure. The company separated the two businesses i.e. DVD rental business and online video streaming with new enhanced price. Formally, company used to charge flat rate $10 per month for both the services. However the new pricing structure brought $8 for each service which collectively costs $16 for subscribers who were using both services. The situation had become worse when almost 1 million subscribers left Netflix’s services and its stock price fell down from $298 to $63 within few months (Netflix b). The CEO of the company, Reed Hastings, found that the root cause of the problem was ineffective communication with customers. He admitted that the company did not clearly mention the reasons of new policy to its subscribers (Netflix c). However, the increasing competition has been a real concern for the company and with the growing market and increasing marketing budgets and campaigns of competing firms, Netflix has been facing threats from the competitors. In addition to this, competitors have been able to attract customers of Netflix by offering
