Go to the Pubmed or ADA center for evidence based dentistry websites. Use the search engine to find a study regarding a systemic condition which may be related to periodontitis. Conditions you may choose include diabetes, osteoporosis, calcium deficiency, vitamin deficiency, low birth weight pregnancy incidence, obesity, or rheumatoid arthritis. Do not choose smoking! Write a one page (at most) essay on what the study looked at, what its conclusions were and if you found the findings convincing.
