For this assignment, you will select and watch a film that is related to issues of development and developmental psychology. The film should focus on a particular period of development. Additionally, students will apply developmental theories to at least one character from the film.

Examples of potential films include: Look Who’s Talking or Three Men and a Baby (infancy), The Breakfast Club or Juno (adolescence), Failure to Launch (emerging adulthood), Grumpy Old Men or Tuesdays with Morrie (Late Adulthood) or any other film that is appropriate for this class.

This paper should be no less than 4 pages in length, excluding your title page and references page. The paper will be broken into three main sections:

· Part 1: Provide a brief synopsis of the movie in your own words (less than 1 page)

· Part 2: Apply the concepts and theories to the film. You must address the following:

o Explain what developmental theories can be applied to this movie and the main character

o Explain what other influences such as peers or family members in the film have on the main character

o Explain how context (e.g., culture, SES, neighborhood) influences the main
character

· Part 3: Provide a brief concluding paragraph summarizing your thoughts on the film and how it relates to class (less than one page).

General Paper Guidelines and Requirements:

· You must use AT LEAST ONE ADDITIONAL SOURCE (besides the textbook and film), and this must be a peer-reviewed journal article. The article you select must be recent (i.e., published within the last 10 years).

· You will be required to adhere to APA formatting including an appropriate title page. An abstract is not needed. You will need a reference page, which includes correct citations for the movie, your textbook, and any additional sources that you use.

· Correct grammar and punctuation are expected. Please refrain from using abbreviations or slang terms.

For this assignment, you will select a current  (within the last 2 years) article or research paper to review. The article your select MUST be different from the one you reviewed for the Lesson 3 assignment. You may select any article or research paper that is related to Threat Modeling, and specifically references STRIDE. The attached rubric will provide more information on the content requirements, but here is a short list of what I want:

1) Your review should be 1/2 to 1 page, single spaced.

2) Please upload a Microsoft Word document to submit your review.

3) You should summarize the content of the article or paper and explain how it relates to STRIDE and Threat Modeling.

4) Provide your own assessment of the article. (Did it make sense? Did you learn anything from it? Do you agree or disagree with the content?)

5) Use the APA style for the paper and any references.

NOTES:

– Select ONE paper or article. That ONE paper or article should be the ONLY item referenced. Do NOT turn in a paper with multiple references. This isn’t a reference paper contest. I want you to simply select ONE research paper or article THAT SPECIFICALLY ADDRESSES STRIDE. Then I want to see two things: read #3 AND #4 above.

– PLEASE pay attention to #5. You reference MUST be in APA format AND you MUST provide a reference indicator in your submission when you reference the paper or article. You will lose points (yes, multiple points this time) if I cannot decipher your reference. [This is an exercise to get you ready for the upcoming residency weekend.]

– ALSO, pay attention to #1. I will not read past 1 page for this assignment. (If you want to include a nice cover page, that’s fine and I’ll consider the first page of the body as page 1, but a cover page is not required.)

– And finally, this is an INDIVIDUAL effort. Do not submit group work as your own.

For this assignment, you will select a current research paper (published since 2016) to review. You may select any research paper that is related to Data Science or Big Data Analytics. I strongly recommend that you start your search at Google Scholar (scholar.google.com). Once you enter your search term(s), select the “Since 2016” link on the left. Feel free to choose ANY relevant paper. (I would recommend that you select one that you can read and summarize in a reasonable amount of time. Don’t select a 100 page paper!)

For APA citation information, I have found https://owl.english.purdue.edu/owl/resource/560/01/ to be a great resource.

Here is a short list of what I want:

 1) Your review should be 1/2 to 1-1/2 pages, single spaced. (DO NOT exceed the page length! Really. I’m not kidding.) 2) Please upload a Microsoft Word document to submit your review. 3) You should briefly summarize the content of the article or paper and explain how it relates to Data Science and/or Big Data Analytics. 4) IMPORTANT – Provide your own assessment of the article. (Did it make sense? Did you learn anything from it? Do you agree or disagree with the content?) 5) Use the APA style for the paper and any references. You MUST use APA in-text references AND provide a list of any resources you used in the references list at the end of your paper. (PLEASE do NOT overuse references. More than a couple for such a short paper is overkill.)

If you aren’t comfortable with APA citations, please send  the citation you’re planning to use BEFORE you submit your paper.

For this assignment you will take on the role of a government adviser and select one of the issues below and brief a policy maker on the issue including the background and your recommendations/proposed solutions to the issue. You may take advise a US policy maker, European, African, or otherwise. The most important facet of this assignment is that you use a wide variety of sources (academic articles, primary sources including laws, both domestic and international, and statutes and facts and statistics to make your case). I have included a link to some very specific guidelines on how to write a briefing paper/note. In order to get the maximum number of points your paper should have all of the elements and you should be able to answer YES to all of the questions listed at the bottom. Please note these requirements are also stylistic in nature. A briefing note should be well-written, memorable, and attractive. You have to make the case why the policymaker should listen to you.

Your briefing paper should be about 4-6 pages in length (it depends on how many images, charts you will have), but importantly it should meet the criteria laid out above, so it that means less in terms of page length, that is fine. Wordy is not necessarily better.

I have attached examples of briefing papers to this assignment.

Topics:

Refugee crisis

Terrorism

Nuclear proliferation (generally or North Korea)

Drone warfare

Climate change and its effects on conflict, global migration, or resource scarcity

Free Trade

Cybersecurity and cyber warfare

attach is the example of briefing paper

For this assignment, you will summarize one of the essays listed below, and then respond to it. To begin, choose the essay that you would like to summarize. Skim the essays using the techniques we have talked about in class.  Once you have chosen your essay, write a summary of that article in your own words, capturing the main point of the article and the key ideas that are discussed in the paragraphs. One approach could be to use the 1 sentence summary of each paragraph as a first draft of this assignment. Remember to use “third person” voice (he, she, they, person’s name) for this section of your paper because you are summarizing what someone else said. Your summary section should be 1 – 4 pages long, double spaced. Remember to use paragraphs.Case for National ID Card.docAfter summarizing the article, you will then write a personal response to the essay and the idea(s) presented. Because this is a personal response, you can use “first” or “second person” voice (I, you, we). This part of your paper should also be 1 – 4 pages long, double spaced.Once you have written these two main parts of the paper, we will work together on writing introduction and conclusion paragraphs.
