However, form the management perspective, there have been no concrete findings on the empirical data which details the degree of impact the nutritional information of a product has on the choice of consumers. Several researches have been done and many are still in progress concerning this specialization. This literature review is aimed at discussing some of the research results achieved in the past and in the process, identify the research topic based on which the project will be panned out. The literatures that are reviewed for the subject in consideration were selected based on two criterions – ‘how’ and ‘what’ from the consumer perspective. That is, what exactly the customer requires to be present in the nutrition labels and how do they understand and use the nutritional information given to them. Research on nutrition labeling started way back in the 60’s when the ‘product characteristics theory’ was first proposed by Lancaster. (Lancaster,1966) According to his theory, for a customer, a product’s utility values can be garnered from its attributes itself instead of utilizing the product directly. But, as a matter of fact, even after 40 years, there is still some resistance to his theory. Silberberg and Suen in their published article in 2001 have mentioned that the practical implementation of his theory is very difficult since the valuation of the attributes to obtain information is extremely difficult to achieve. Suen, 2001) All these speculations were put to rest when Lazardis and Drichoutis in 2005 modified Lancaster’s theory in such a way that the food products turned out to be the measurable attributes. Nayga, 2005) Out of the several attributes of food, the nutrient value took its prominence when Darby and Karni introduced it as the credence attribute in the year, 1973. (Darby &amp. Karni,1973) This attribute was then transformed and brought under the concept of ‘search attributes’, forcing governments of several nations to introduce nutrition label on all packed food products. However, countries belonging to the European Union brought in such rules only after 2003. (Darby &amp. Karni,1973) Nutritional information does not end with a mere list of vitamins and minerals. instead it also includes the detailed information pertaining to the type of vitamins, percentage and additional facts about them. One reason that is given for this change is the increase in the numbers of people affected by several deficiencies and health related issues. This research aims about proving that children exhibiting aggression behavior in their childhood are more likely to show these behaviors at their adolescent stage. Research also indicates that there is a difference in terms of behavior transmission with regard to sex. Children perceive their parents differently concerning awarding their modes of behavior. Research indicates that parents tend to reward imitation of appropriate behavior of sex and at the same time punish or discourage sex inappropriate behaviors. For example, a child of male gender is more likely to receive an award by the parents for performing female activities such as cleaning of dishes, cleaning the house, and cooking (Baillargeon RH, 2007). Behavior transmission therefore tends to take a different direction depending on the kind of reinforcement in terms of reward and punishment that the parents offer to children. However, we can assume that since boys are more masculine than girls are, and that aggression is more likely a motor effect, boys tend to imitate aggressive behaviors more than girls do. Research also indicates that children who are exposed to non-aggressive male models are more likely to exhibit less aggressive behavior in comparison to their female counterparts. This explains the kind of influence the female models have on their children in terms of behavior transmission. The ability of a child to observe certain cues and behavior elicit certain kind of responses that a child is likely to exhibit. Adult males fail to influence children behavior more so since they do not spend so much time with their children. Female parents however show a greater probability of influencing children behavior due to the amount of time and affection that children develop towards their female parents.
