On the contrary, Hamlet does not swing to action immediately, rather opting to take time and investigate the cause of his father’s death, despite the fact that he never had any doubt that it is Claudius who had killed his father. His delayed action enables the villain in the play, Claudius, to buy all the necessary time that is required to plan for the elimination of Hamlet as well.
