Module 4 Case Using The Resources Provided And Additional Relevant Resources You

Module 4 Case

Using the resources provided and additional relevant resources you find, write a 3- to 4-page paper that answers the question: What is the biggest threat to student safety on campus? Your paper should reference a minimum of three scholarly sources to support your thesis. (PK-12: please respond to the prompt in the context of PK-12 schools. Higher Ed: please respond to the prompt in the context of colleges/universities.)

Assignment Expectations

Your work should demonstrate the following:

  • At least 3-4 pages not counting the title page and references.
  • A clear introduction that orients a reader to the essay main content, and the main points discussed.
  • A well-developed, well-balanced essay body that develops each point in its own paragraph.
  • A concise conclusion that summarizes the whole essay.
  • Include at least three references. Quoted material should not exceed 10% of the total paper (since the focus of these assignments is critical thinking). Use your own words and build on the ideas of others. When material is copied verbatim from external sources, it MUST be enclosed in quotes. The references should be cited within the text and also listed at the end of the assignment in the References section. Follow the APA Style® format, see www.apa.org.
  • At least one in-text citation for each reference.
  • General format/mechanics.
  • A reference page which follows APA requirements.
  • Organized in a clear and coherent manner.
  • Double spaced with font size of 12.

Your writing should:

  • Be clear, logical, and precise.
  • Have breadth and depth,
  • Show critical-thinking skills.

For your Module 4 SLP, you are building on the PowerPoint presentation you started in Modules 1-3. Read the SLP overview contained in Module 1 if you have not done so already. The topic of Module 4 is campus safety and privacy, so you should integrate the legal material (laws, cases, etc.) from the background readings into your information about your chosen institution. Keep in mind that this information should be presented as information that your audience needs to know, so you should provide enough explanation/discussion (likely in the notes section) so that your audience understands how this information pertains to them.

For SLP 4 you will also include a brief assessment of your audience to see what they learned throughout the presentation (Modules 1-4). This assessment can be contained in PowerPoint slides that you add to the end of your presentation, or you can upload a separate Word Document containing the assessment.

For Module 4, create the following slides (for a total of 6 slides):

  • 1 slide about drills/emergency procedures at your institution
  • 1 slide about additional safety features at your institution
  • 1 slide about sexual harassment/reporting procedures at your institution
  • 1 slides about student searches
  • 1 slide about privacy rights
  • 1 reference slide

Include a brief assessment of your audience to see what they learned throughout the presentation (Modules 1-4). This assessment can be contained in additional PowerPoint slides that you add to the end of your presentation, or you can upload a separate Word Document containing the assessment.

SLP Assignment Expectations

All slides except the title slide and reference slide(s) should utilize the notes section to elaborate on the points made on each slide. In order to be visible and clear for your audience, you should limit the amount of text on each slide, and you can utilize the notes section to add more detail (think of the notes as the part you would speak aloud if actually delivering the presentation). Accurate spelling and grammar is expected. Be sure to use proper APA formatting for in-text citations and your references slide(s).

Module 4 Discussion 1:

Campus/student safety is one of the areas of education law that is most often in the news. Find a current (within the past two years) news article that deals with an issue of student or campus safety. Write a summary of the issue, relevant laws/cases/policies, how it was handled by educational leaders (if this information is available), and how you would have handled the situation to avoid liability. (PK-12 please select a PK-12 article, and Higher Ed please select a Higher Ed article.) Respond to at least 3 classmates’ posts (by posing thoughtful questions, extending their arguments, and otherwise adding to the substance of their posts; your responses should not merely repeating what others have said).

Module 4 Discussion 2:

The completion of each course in the Masters of Education program is a milestone that provides an opportunity for reflection. At the end of each course, you will be asked to discuss what you have learned and how it applies to your current practice. The expectation is that you will save these self-reflection essays and have a record of your development throughout the program. This is a valuable tool to assist with your professional development in the program. Identify and reflect on 2 – 3 elements of this course that are useful in your ability to:

  • Identify and analyze legal and ethical issues that arise in education practices and institutions.
  • Function with integrity and make ethical decisions in the workplace and field of study.

Module 5 Dq 1 And Dq 2tutor Must Have A Good Command Of The English Languageeach

Module 5 DQ 1 and DQ 2

Tutor MUST have a good command of the English language

Each post should average 150-250 words

  • Please remember that      sources like the CDC or WHO are great places to get information from, but      they are not considered scholarly sources. Scholarly sources are      peer-reviewed and written by experts in the field.
    • You can certainly       continue to use them as references
  • Please avoid very lengthy paragraphs because it causes      several ideas to be clumped together as one and that is not very clear to      understand. Instead, your paragraphs      should be about 5-7 sentences long with transition statements to guide the      reader into the next though.
  • Unless otherwise      specified, when asked to give examples it is best to give 2 or 3 strong examples with strong      supporting evidence backed by your literature review, as opposed to 6 or 7      examples loosely stated.
  • Citation – Remember      to cite content that is not your      original idea, and that is      not common knowledge.
    • If you state that       “The use of healthcare continues to rise because of technology,       access to care and population increase” — this needs to be cited. We as healthcare professionals       may understand this, but others may       not necessarily know this information. They need to know this was       obtained from a source and not just your thought.
    • If you make       inferences or draw conclusions you may state – “some factors that       must be considered include       technology, increased population and technological advances” – this       is not a definitive statement. This       shows that you have considered several factors involved and you can then       use your references to further elaborate on each factor.

Each post should include appropriate foundation knowledge, be factual, and enhance the ongoing dialogue. Each post should demonstrate either the application and/or reflection of knowledge. Your responses should expand on a classmate’s comments or advance the dialogue through follow-up questions Your responses should be open-ended to encourage continuing the conversation. Very few grammatical/spelling errors

These are two discussion questions

DQ1 and DQ2 posts must be at least 150 words and have at least one reference cited for each question. In-text citation, please

Module 5 Slp Network Security And The Internet You Ll Remember That We Re Usin

Module 5 – SLP NETWORK SECURITY AND THE INTERNET You’ll remember that we’re using a common basic format for the Project assignments in all Modules — that is, the review of relevant professional development websites. Specifically, for the Session Long Project for this Module, you are to review the Mitnick Security Consulting website [available at http://mitnicksecurity.com/]. Kevin Mitnick was for a number of years one of the most successful bad-guy hackers in the world; at the moment he’s presiding over a group of reformed hackerts. An interesting group, no doubt! You should do the following:• Look over the range of articles and other resources linked there.• Follow up links that interest you. In general, become familiar with its contents.• Pay special attention on the subject of this module and learn as much as you can.• Look over the career links. Anything interest you? Any interesting themes there? Then write your review. SLP Assignment Expectations Your paper should be two to three pages in length, and reflect your personal experiences with this issue. The important part of all these project assignments is to carefully assess your own experiences with the topic, and then reflect critically on what you might have learned about yourself and about situations through this assessment process. The more that you can use the exercise to develop personal implications for your growth as a potential business person as well as a moral individual, the more value you’ll get out of the exercise. The general format valid for such reviews in ALL your SLPs here is:• a short summary description of the website’s structure, purpose, pros and cons• a comprehensive discussion on what you learn from this website regarding the subject of this module (at least half of your write-up should be devoted to this discussion). you can choose to provide a general review, or focus on one theme of your most interest.• links that you find helpful to follow up• why you will or will not find it a useful addition to your professional resources list• any other things about the site that you find salient and worth noting to others• bottom-line evaluation of its value to you in this program The last point is very important. Be honest and direct; your assessment is helpful to you and to others. If you don’t find it helpful, say so and why, and try to explain what you would find more useful in its place. But also do try to remember also that your education isn’t yet finished, that things you don’t understand now and don’t yet see the value of may turn out later on to be relevant and useful, and that the site’s creators may know more about the topic and the profession than you do yet. Your paper will be evaluated on the following criteria:• Precision: You carried out the exercise as assigned, or carefully explained the limitations that might have prevented your completing some parts (running out of time isn’t generally considered an adequate limitation).• Clarity: Your answers are clear and show your good understanding of the topic.• Breadth and Depth: The scope covered in your paper is directly related to the questions of the assignment and the learning objectives of the module.• Critical thinking: The paper incorporates YOUR reactions, examples, and applications of the material to business that illustrate your reflective judgment and good understanding of the concepts.• Overall quality: Your paper is well written and the references, where needed, are properly cited and listed (refer to the university guidelines (http://support.trident.edu/files/Well-Written-Paper.pdf) if you are uncertain about formats or other issues. Additional Requirements Please note that the answer is :Specifically, for the Session Long Project for this Module, you are to review the Mitnick Security Consulting website, not Mitnick himself.

Module 4 Slp Should Be Completed Before The Module 4 Case

Eng102 Case 1-4 and SLP 1-4

Case 1

Note: Module 1 SLP should be completed before the Module 1 Case. After viewing “An Education in Equality,” “Learning Begins at Home,” “A Military Education,” and “an Education,” write an organized and well-supported essay in which you make three observations about education and what impacts (and enhances) student learning. Consider impacts and influences such as parenting, home life, society, race, technology, ethnicity, socioeconomics, etc.

A well-organized essay has a beginning, middle, and an end. The beginning, or introduction, should include an opening sentence to grab your reader’s attention. Follow the opening sentence with a brief background on the topic or situation. In this case, it might be the state of education today. The last sentence of the introduction is the thesis statement. The thesis states the main point of the essay, which in this case, would be what impacts/influences student learning.

A well-supported essay includes supporting points, details, and examples. For this essay, you must decide the best way to organize the body of the paper. Will you have a paragraph for each impact or enhancement? Will you divide the body of your paper into three paragraphs, one for each impact? In any case, each body paragraph must support (explain) your reasoning (rationale) using specific details. Each body paragraph must begin with a topic sentence that states the main point of the paragraph.

The conclusion typically summarizes the main points of the essay and/or closes with a lasting impression that connects the reader to their world. You may wish to offer suggestions to reader about what makes for exceptional student learning.

Be sure to proofread your essay and edit for proper grammar, punctuation, diction (word choice), and spelling, as errors in sentence skills will lower a final grade. A grade will be determined based on the Module 1 Case expectations and the Trident University General Education rubric for English found in the course syllabus.

Papers must be double-spaced in Times or Times New Roman font (12 cpi) with standard one-inch margins. A grade will be determined based on the Module 1 Case expectations and the Trident University General Education rubric for English.

The first person “I” is not used in a formal essay, nor is the passive “you.” In place of “you,” “one” may be used.

No secondary sources are to be used in the process of writing this first paper; it is to be entirely written based on one’s point of view and supported with body points and details.

Assignment Expectations

  • Write an essay (no less than four pages in length) that states an original thesis statement on what impacts/influences student learning.
  • Demonstrate the ability to write clearly and cohesively when expressing one’s ideas and/or intended purpose.
  • Demonstrate the ability to clearly state and support a thesis in an organized and cohesive essay.

Module 4 Problem Set Due Date Apr 27 2016 23 59 Max Points 85 Details Some Commo

Hi,

I need help with an some homework questions. They are for someone who is proficient in SPSS and has access to SPSS as it is needed to complete the homework. I will post the questions below and more information is available in the attachment:

7.14 Learning Activity

In these activities you will use the file Census.sav. The overall goal is to run the Independent-Samples T Test, to interpret the output and visualize the results with an error bar chart.

The file Census.sav, a PASW Statistics data file from a survey done on the general adult population. Questions were included about various attitudes and demographic characteristics.

1. We want to see whether men and women differ in their mean socioeconomic index (sei) and their age when their first child was born (agekdbrn). First, use the Explore procedure to view the distributions of these two variables by gender. Are they similar or different? Do you see any problems with doing a t test?

2. Now do a t test for each variable, by gender. Is the homogeneity of variance assumption met, or not? What do you conclude about mean differences by gender?

3. Create an error bar chart for each variable by gender. Is the graph consistent with the result from the t test?

4. Now do the same analysis with the variable race, testing whether there are differences in sei and agekdbrn comparing whites to blacks. Although race has three categories, you can use only two categories in the t test. As before, first use the Explore procedure to view the distributions of these two variables by race? Are they similar or different? Do you see any problems with doing a t test?

5. Now do a t test for each variable, by white versus black. Is the homogeneity of variance assumption met, or not? What do you conclude about mean differences between whites and blacks?

6. Create an error bar chart for each variable by race. Is the graph consistent with the result from the t test?

7. For those with more timed: How could you display an error bar chart with only the categories of white and black, not other? There are at least two methods.

8.10 Learning Activity

The overall goal of this learning activity is to use the Paired-Samples T Test.

The SPSS customer satisfaction data file SPSS_CUST.SAV. This data file was collected from a random sample of SPSS customers asking about their satisfaction with the software, service, and other features, and some background information on the customer and their company.

1. One variable in the customer survey asked about agreement that SPSS products are a good value (gdvalue). A second question asked about agreement that SPSS offers high quality products (hiqualty). Use a paired-samples t test to see whether the means of these two questions differ (they are measured on a five-point scale). What do you conclude?

2. Then test whether there is a mean difference between agreement that SPSS products are easy to learn (easylrn) and SPSS products are easy to use (easyuse). What do you conclude?

3. Could we use a paired-sample t test to compare how long a customer has used SPSS products (usespss) and how frequently they use SPSS (freqspss)? Why or why not?

9.20 Learning Activity

The overall goal of this learning activity is to use One-Way ANOVA with post hoc tests to explore the relationship between several variables. You will use the PASW Statistics data file Census.sav.

The file Census.sav, a PASW Statistics data file from a survey done on the general adult population. Questions were included about various attitudes and demographic characteristics.

1. Investigate how the number of siblings (sibs) varies by highest degree (degree). Ask for appropriate statistics.

2. Is the assumption of homogeneity of variance met? Is the ANOVA test significant at the .01 level?

3. Do a post hoc analysis, if justified. Ask for both the Bonferroni and Scheffe tests? What do you conclude from these tests? Which education groups have different mean numbers of children? Are the Bonferroni and Scheffe tests consistent?

4. Create an error bar chart to display the mean differences for sibs by degree. Is the error bar chart a correct representation of which means are different?

5. Now do another analysis of political position (polviews) by degree. Repeat the same
