In 2017 Motley Fool Reported That The U S Government Spends About 2 7 Trillion F

In 2017, Motley Fool reported that the U.S. Government spends about $2.7 trillion for various kinds of social insurance (Social Security, Medicaid and Medicare, unemployment compensation, veterans’ benefits, and the like). Please click here to view their report.

In addition, another $604 billion, or 15.3% of total spending, went for national defense; net interest payments on government debt were about $240 billion, or 6.1%. Education aid and related social services were about $114 billion, or less than 3% of all federal spending. Despite the services and benefits that the government provides, many taxpayers dread paying income taxes while considering them a necessary evil. Consequently, there is much debate about the inequities contained within the tax code, due to tax shelters and tax credits provided to some taxpayers (which thereby increase the tax burden on others).

Using the Internet or Strayer University Online Library (which can be accessed at https://research.strayer.edu), identify and research one country and compare that country’s tax model (or lack thereof) to the tax model of the United States.

Write a four to five (4-5) page paper in which you:

  1. Analyze the way in which the country you have researched provides services and benefits to its citizens, either through the collection of taxes or otherwise.
  2. For the country that you have chosen, determine whether the U.S. could adopt their taxation model without reducing its total amount of revenue (as currently generated by collecting income taxes from individuals and businesses).
  3. Justify your response.Suggest at least two (2) advantages and two (2) disadvantages of the U.S. adopting the system that the other country uses. Provide a rationale for your responses.
  4. Speculate on the primary way in which the Federal Government could make up any shortfalls if it does not collect its targeted revenue from the collection of taxes.
  5. Use at least three (3) quality academic resources in this assignment. Note: Wikipedia and similar websites do not quality as academic resources.

In 300 Words Please Provide 2 Positive 2 Critical Comments To The Following Para 1

In 300 words, please provide 2 positive & 2 critical comments to the following paragraph: In addition to understanding the KSA’s a position requires, job analysis helps HR professionals create accurate job descriptions. Accurate job descriptions provide current or future employees a realistic job preview (RJP) and prepare employees for what to expect in each position held within an organization. In addition to preparing employees for what to expect, according to Kupperschmidt, the RJP literature affirms that realistic job previews promote coping strategies, decrease the fear of failure, and increase satisfaction and retention (2002). Furthermore, while performing job analysis with the hope of providing accurate job descriptions, organizational leaders may discover nuances of a job to which they were unaware and either add those to the job description or reassign those tasks to a position/employee that makes more sense for the employees and the organization. While the ability to pinpoint KSA’s and provide accurate job descriptions is a large benefit or performing job analysis, perhaps the most compelling argument for performing a job analysis is to provide evidence of ethical hiring and pay practices. According to Martocchio, while it is not required by government, conducting job analysis increases the chance that employment decisions are based solely on pertinent job requirements (2011, pp. 130-131). Job analysis could provide explanations for differences in pay, reasons why one might not be qualified or able to perform the job, etc. In addition, Martocchio also suggests organizations perform job analysis to ensure they are in compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (2011, 131).

In 3-5 sentences  explain this internet comment on Howl using an example from the poem:

Howl is about madness: it’s supposed to be confusing. That’s the point. Also, Ginsberg never thought it would be so widely read(https://www.theparisreview.org/interviews/4389/allen-ginsberg-the-art-of-poetry-no-8-allen-ginsberg) , so it contains a lot of references to people and places that his friends would have known about, but which require a bit of explanation for the contemporary reader. (e.g., “N.C.” in line 43.) On the other hand, the use of the “long line” that Ginsberg borrowed from Walt Whitman gives the poem a rhythm that resembles ordinary speech. Try to keep up with the frenetic speaker and his intense emotions, and don’t worry too much about making sense of every last word and detail.

In A 1977 Decision Involving The United Steelworkers Of America The U

In a 1977 decision* involving the United Steelworkers of America, the U.S. Supreme Court by a split vote upset a union rule requiring candidates for a local union office to have attended at least one-half of a locals regular meetings for the 3 years preceding the election. Under the unions rule, 96.5 percent of the members of the local were disqualified from union office. In its decision, the high court stressed that national labor legislation (and specifically the Landrum-Griffin Act of 1959) was designed to promote union democracy without interfering unduly with union internal affairs. It said:Applying these principles to this case, we conclude that . . . the anti-democratic effects of the meeting attendance rule outweighs the interests urged in its support . . . . An attendance requirement that results in the exclusion of 96.5 percent of the members from candidacy for union office hardly seems to be a reasonable qualification (as required by Landrum-Griffin) consistent with the goal of free and democratic elections. A requirement having that result obviously severely restricts the free choice of the membership in selecting their leaders. The minority of the court believed the attendance rule to be a reasonable qualification. It criticized the majority for using a statistical test. The rule was reasonable, it said, because it could encourage attendance at meetings, guarantee that candidates for office had a meaningful interest in the union, and assure that the candidates had a chance to become informed about union affairs. Do you agree with the majority or the minority here and, in either case, why? *Local 3489, United Steelworkers v. Usery, 429 U.S. 305 (1977).Must be 250 words minimum
