Thus, it is more comfortable for them to eat in fast foods and do not spend much time on cooking at home. A problem of obesity is a complex phenomenon that should be considered on the social, economic, psychological and cultural levels. A target group chosen for the research consists of immigrant Latino population in San Antonio, Texas. It has been often claimed, that ethnic minority groups are subjected to a high risk of becoming obese in comparison with other Americans. Lower living level, other spheres of occupation, a lack of proper education, inability to have a constant access to information about healthy way of life and possibilities to live this kind of life and many other factors have prevented ethnic minorities from being healthy people. Therefore, this target group is one of the most vulnerable social groups to the destructive influence of obesity. POPULATION: Latinos have become the largest racial/ethnic minority group in the United States of America, and are expected to grow to about one-fourth of the population by the year 2050 (Delva, O’Malley &amp. Johnston, 2007). The term Hispanic is used interchangeably with Latino and refers to descendents of at least 25 different countries, all of which are Spanish speaking (Centrella-Nigro, 2009). Definition of Hispanic or Latino origin used in the 2010 Census refers to a person of Cuban, Mexican, Puerto Rican, South or Central American, or other Spanish culture or origin regardless of race (U.S. Census Bureau, 2010). Hispanics now make up 38 percent of Texas’s 25.1 million people, up from 32 percent a decade ago. Bexar County, which includes San Antonio, grew by 23.1 percent and is home to 1.7 million. In accordance with the 2010 census San Antonio population grew by 25 percent to 1.33 million people , the Hispanic population grew by 25 percent making to 63.2 percent Hispanics in San Antonio (U.S. Census Bureau, 2010). According to the Texas Department of State Health Services, over 30% of adolescents in Texas are overweight or obese. That is 1 in 3 teenagers. Obesity is not just a physical condition –it has many psychosocial implications that need to be acknowledged. PREVALENCE: According to the Health Profiles 2005 by The San Antonio Metropolitan Health District (SAMHD) the Hispanic population is expected to far outpace other ethnicities by 2040 and beyond. The Hispanic population faces well-documented health concerns, such as obesity. Programs addressing those areas should be maintained or increased. Bexar County’s Hispanic population is also younger with fewer college graduates than any other ethnic population. Those factors are often predictors of future poverty and increased risk for associated health problems such as obesity. Unfortunately, 90% of Hispanics in Bexar County have not earned at least a 4-year college degree. Moreover, the Hispanic population is burdened with additional risk factors for childhood obesity, including parental obesity, low socioeconomic status (SES), recent immigration, acculturation to US diet and lifestyle, and limited health insurance coverage, ethnic beliefs, differences in ideal body images, lack of appreciation of weight management, questionable literacy levels, and access to medical care (Wilson, Adolph, &amp. Butte, 2009. Centrella-Nigro, 2009. &amp. Harrington, 2008). Source: 2009 FITNESS GRAM, According to FITNESSGRAM a Healthy Weight equals BMI ranging from 14.7-27.8 for boys and 16.2-27.

I Will Pay For The Following Essay A Literary Criticism Of The Character Tom Saw

I will pay for the following essay A literary criticism of the character tom sawyer. The essay is to be 4 pages with three to five sources, with in-text citations and a reference page.

Therefore, this paper will give a literary criticism of Tom Sawyer’s character in Mark Twain’s novel ‘The adventure of Tom Sawyer’ from a Marxist view, a Formalism view and a Feminists view.

Marxists believe that the human society is based on material things, which would ensure the survival of people. This means that the human society requires necessities of life such as water, shelter and food so as to survive. However, how people interact when producing these products and the people who control their production and usage determines the nature of the society they live. Thus, Marxist view takes into account how much the working class struggle to gain a higher form of human society also known as socialism. Slaughter (67) argues that class exploitation, and oppression are due to the different ways production of material things is organized, which results in different classes in the human society that include slavery, feudalism and capitalism.

From Tom Sawyers character in the novel, it is clear that he was a capitalist. He exploited his own friends in order to get money from them. For instance, one of the main scenes in this novel is the white-washing of the fence, which Tom’s aunt had asked him to do as a punishment for getting into trouble. However, Tom and his cunning behavior decided to manipulate his friends into doing the job for him, and even collected money from them because each boy was expected to buy a turn at painting the fence with items such as marbles, bits of class and crackers among others (Twain 45). As a result, he became a young, wealthy boy at the expense of his friends. He is a capitalist in that he gained his wealth in an unfair way from his friends.

Therefore, this character of Tom, portrays how the working class who do not have land, inherited wealth or other means of providing for themselves are forced to sell their labor in the human society. Thus, Tom as a

handy as it states that knowledge acquisition can be directly interconnected to observing others within the context of experiences, outside media influences as well as social interactions. Most of these approaches rely on the practice of guided finding where the tutor avoids using the most undeviating instruction and endeavours to lead the scholar through queries and actions to determine, deliberate, appreciate, and express the new acquaintance. Therefore, the planning of teaching the above-mentioned topic adopts the constructivist learning theory (Tucker, 2005, p. 89).

This study will centre on The Chinese Foundation Secondary School students who are studying form 5 of their junior form course. I will pay for the following essay A journal. The essay is to be 1 pages with three to five sources, with in-text citations and a reference page.

Initially I used to jot down a few points in the margin to make me remember things, but learning to create visual learning pegs by labeling notes along the margins, using contrasting colors and styles took my learning strategies to a different level. Other learning skills such as associating different patterns with physical objects, or filling in information from texts and handouts and constantly discussing the topic with colleagues had never occurred to me before and which made learning for me a tedious job. This new way of learning helps me not only to store matter well in my mind but also to recall the matter easily. I think condensing techniques are useful tools that facilitate memorization because when I think of the way I used to try and memorize things, makes me wonder why I never employed these techniques before. because now I find memorizing much easier. Another helpful tool I picked up, was fitting in new matter into the old concepts and reviewing them from time to time. I found this to be exceptionally useful because it helped me to revise a matter that I had deviously learned and it made memorization easier task.

Note- taking was a familiar task that I made use during lectures, but the manner in which I used to handle it was a bit monotonous. I came to know that one of the primary goals of note-taking is the gathering of relevant information which could be used for after-class study and organization of ones thoughts. Learning the right technique helped me to jot down notes in a comprehensive manner, which in turn increased my speed and pace. I also learned to take full advantage of the optimal memory curve, by labeling in the margins, using a different color and style. Creating important charts involving visual, auditory and intellectual capacities, in addition to making use of headings, labeling, indenting and other details has gone a long way in helping me to memorize and recall as

I Will Pay For The Following Essay A Increase In Income Tax The Essay Is To Be 1

I will pay for the following essay A increase in income tax. The essay is to be 1 pages with three to five sources, with in-text citations and a reference page.

As explained above if consumers cut back, the suppliers will reduce production while laying off workers, and then consumers will have even less money to spend in which case the cycle will repeat and thus begins a recession/depression like sequence.

Consumers lose the most from this in the long term as explained, purchasing power will continue to drop and some workers will eventually lose their jobs which can send more shockwaves through the economy.

Example: In the housing bust, consumers lost their jobs in the recession and were not able to pay for mortgages, thus defaulting. Banks then reduced their lending and consumers continued to reduce spending. Due to this suppliers had to cut their supply and more workers had to be made redundant. This cycle continued and spread throughout not only the United States but the world as banks defaulted on their debt.

3) If the government is attempting to increase government revenue an alternative is to decrease the tax rate to a maximized level where businesses and consumers would want to spend more and thus cause more revenue in the long term and the government would be receiving more revenue than at the previous tax rate.

4) A tax rate increase definitely affects the GDP and GNP due to the loss in production the aforementioned cycles would create. In the short run the tax increase doesn’t affect the GDP and GNP but in the long term Consumers would spend less and thus suppliers would produce less and lay off workers, and consumers would spend even less creating a vicious cycle that causes a

I Will Pay For The Following Essay A Distinctive Feature Of Youth Justice Policy

, it is impossible to rest on the past policies and has become absolutely important for government to continuously evolve better policies for the betterment of youth, and hence, the society. Youth offence has become an inglorious chapter that keeps threatening present and future both. The statement that youth policies and programmes of recent years are dominated by politics of fear is right. There are many kinds of fears in society, community, country, political circles, families and schools which are connected with youth offending and they are not without historical evidence. Every country has to develop politics of fear because youth could be destructive if not guided properly. This study has tried to locate the politics of fear in the connected policies and explore the causes leading to youth delinquency.

In recent years, there has been an enormous increase in crime rate of youth, and sociologists are quick to offer reasons and causes3. Causes of youth crime, could be anything between psychological, emotional, and behavioural. Sometimes there need not be reality in it. Youth minds are absolutely fertile in imagination and most of the grievances are imagined, as we saw recently with the killer of Virginia Tech. Youth also have a problem of blaming parents, schools, teachers, governments, entire system and the entire world, but never themselves. Nevertheless, there is a psychologically affected group, which is rather rare, that blames themselves for everything, and they are not in majority. These are the people more prone to guilt and self-harming and might become suicidal. They are small in number. The usual youth offender is belligerent, fighting all alone against the entire world, teaching them a lesson, or perishing in the effort. This is the Chivalrous martyr youth offender who has a certain nobility in him and need not be a major threat to society if guided properly. Ordinary offender is more interested in crime, advantage, getting rich, rolling in money,

I Will Pay For The Following Essay Accounting Education And The Developement Of

I will pay for the following essay Accounting education and the developement of ethical maturity. The essay is to be 12 pages with three to five sources, with in-text citations and a reference page.

One has to wonder if accounting firms whose parent company has a business relationship with a company they are auditing have lost the true meaning of independence when conducting those audits.

The current trend toward corporate acquisitions of CPA firms poses potential threats to the autonomy and ethical standards of public accounting professionals. This recent consolidation movement suggests that for the first time a significant number of public accounting professionals are subject to the supervision and control of nonprofessionals. (Shafer, Lowe and Fogarty 2002: 109)

The question becomes are professional charted accountants prepared to handle these areas of ethical behaviour, have they been sufficiently trained to do so? In this new millennium even the practice of business has undergone drastic changes of focus that need to be addressed by the educational model. The focus of this research will be to analyse the old and new models and fathom what current education has done to address this situation.

On of the difficulties in this area is that research in accounting ethics, as previously noted may not be getting the equal treatment it deserves in the educational setting. There is evidence in the research supporting the theory that ethics in academia is not perceived to be an important area to the majority of accounting educators. Therefore ethics in education is in jeopardy of not receiving the necessary level of effort and interest needed for it to become a primary pillar in the academic accounting community. It has been noted that, ‘… accounting ethics research has traditionally been undervalued due to the use of a different research methodology and its relatively recent entry as an appropriate topic for accounting researchers.’ (Bernardi 2004: 145)

The first strategy is to view ethics not as a subfield of

of early filmmaking in America was aimed at depicting family life, romance, social systems, and the government as without flaws, yet the reality was much different behind closed doors. In a way, it gave people an avenue to explore their feelings as well as to escape their own situation and find a way to cope.

During the first half of the twentieth century, the entertainment industry primarily focused on the positive aspects of living. It was a way to soothe the populace from the effects of the Great Depression and both World Wars. The focus was on how to make people believe that normalcy would return and that family life wouldn’t be abnormally affected beyond that from which it could regenerate. Television capitalized on this message with weekly series that portrayed families in idealic settings with only minor mishaps. creating the chance to teach a moral message to the viewers. There were also the fantasy programs and westerns that brought escapism and adventure to those who just wanted to forget the harshness of reality for awhile. Most of the box office movies portrayed life as manageable with a certain degree of hardship which caused people to become stronger and more valued as human beings. Society still expected the men to lead the way. therefore most media portrayed life as being a man’s world, reinforcing the idea that we were safe.

After the Vietnam War, the entertainment industry moved away from the “all is well, we’ll be ok” message, due to the horrific effects of that time period. As soldiers returned from the war, they weren’t ok, and neither were we. everything about life as we knew it had changed, leaving us groping for a way to understand and deal with it all. Families were broken, social roles had changed. it was the first time we had gone to war senselessly and been defeated. Society had begun to question everything it believed. an epiphany moment. The entertainment industry focused more on expressing our horror, rage,

The purpose of this essay is to make an analysis of the competitive ability of the company, point out specific problems and develop strategic adaptations for the company.

Marketing analysis is concerned with the ability of a company within a specific industry to position itself as a top service provider.
