This essay explores three early perspectives of psychology: Behaviorism, Psychodynamic, and Humanism. They will be described and compared to one another using their claims regarding human nature and personality, as well as what psychology should study as a scientific discpline. The psychodynamic perspective of psychology asserts that human behavior is significantly a product of the unconscious. The psychological processes inside a person define and drive human conduct (Coon &amp. Mitterer, 2010, p.27). Psychodynamic theories developed from Sigmund Freud’s work on the unconscious and mental processes (Weiten, Dunn, &amp. Hammer, 2012, p.35). Freud argued that the unconscious is a reservoir of primitive aggressive and sexual drives, and that these drives shape human behavior (Nevid, 2009, p.9). He also believed that childhood experiences determine human personality throughout their adulthood (Nevid, 2009, p.9). He stressed that abnormal behaviors come from childhood conflicts that were not properly resolved (Nevid, 2009, p.9). He discussed defense mechanisms that people use to deal with anxiety and guilt (Weiten et al., 2012, p.38). An example is rationalization, where people provide false but possible excuses to explain inappropriate behavior. Many of Freud’s concepts and processes are still applied today through modern psychoanalytic therapies (Weiten, 2011, p.6). Dream analysis and talk therapy are mainstays in clinical settings. Many psychologists continue to analyze their clients’ dreams, in order to unearth their underlying causes of anxiety. The idea of the unconscious also helps explains numerous behaviors, such as phobias and problematic behaviors. Furthermore, defense mechanisms help people and psychologists understand the many healthy and unhealthy ways that people do to avoid knowing the causes of their problems (Weiten, 2011, p.6). They signify that unresolved conflicts have to be exposed and discussed in the open, so that proper resolutions are determined and applied (Weiten, 2011, p.6). Behaviorism asserts that scientific psychology should study only those behaviors that can be observed. John Watson proposed that the study of the unconscious should be discarded, because people cannot observe the states of the human mind (Weiten, 2011, p.7). B.F. Skinner supported Watson, where he stressed that if a dog eats food after seeing it, observable behavior says that he is hungry. Psychologists need not be concerned then of the underlying unconscious causes of this feeling of hunger. Skinner provided a simple explanation for behavior. He said that organisms repeat behaviors that produce positive outcomes and do not repeat behaviors that result in negative effects (Weiten, 2011, p.8). By working with rats and pigeons, for instance, he showed that he can influence behavior through conditioning responses (Weiten, 2011, p.8). Behaviorism is now combined with other perspectives to change deviant behaviors and to promote positive actions. Some cognitive-behavioral therapies, for instance, use reinforcement strategies to promote positive behaviors and to remove negative ones, such as drug addiction and alcoholism. An example is linking illegal drugs to negative emotions, so that addicts will stop feeling that taking drugs is a pleasurable experience.

Hi Need To Submit A 1000 Words Essay On The Topic Assume That Canadian Tire Is O

Hi, need to submit a 1000 words essay on the topic Assume that Canadian Tire is opening up a store in Ghana.

It was dominated by two colonial powers, which are France and Great Britain. In time, Britain was able to dominate both the political and cultural forces in Canada. Two significant communities are distinguished by language, culture, religion and politics and they live separately from each other since they have divergent views on the history of Canada as a nation.

In comparison to Ghana, Canada has two distinctive characteristics of everyday consumptions. Canadians are big eaters where meat tends to be the dominating portion of each meal. They have three regular meals in a day where breakfast is the largest and most important meal of the rural people. Canadians take lunch at midday, and the urban people take a snack but it remains an important meal to the rural people. Dinner is the final formal meal of the day, which is taken by residential group as a whole, and it can be extended to nonfamily members. Ghana’s main diet is made up of starchy staples accompanied with soup or stew. Forest crops such as cassava and tropical yams are mostly consumed in the south (Kaminski, 2012). Corn and rice are most important among the Ga community though their main food is fufu combined with cassava. Soup ingredients in many communities include common vegetables accompanied by animal proteins, especially fish. In addition, palm nuts and peanut crops are the favorite among different communities in Ghana. Indigenous foods are eaten at all social functions even by the western people. It is rare to find restaurants outside urban business districts though most local bars offer various foods to workers and bachelors.

Ghana’s economy mostly depends on primary products such as cocoa, gold and timber. International trade contributes to one-third of the GDP while 70 % of export income comes from the latter three major commodities. The domestic economy is mainly involved with primary agriculture

Hi Need To Submit A 1000 Words Essay On The Topic Assessment Aim To Examine How

Hi, need to submit a 1000 words essay on the topic Assessment Aim: To examine how shipping Company (Maersk) have responded to the slowdown in the global economy since 2008.

According to Cozzolino (2012, 400-560) the total asset of this company is estimated to be DKK374.72 billion in the year ending 2010. The total equity of Maersk Company was DKK192.96 billion. On average, it had employees summing up to 117000 the year ending 2012. It had subsidiary and offices in more than 135 countries worldwide. It is ranked 147 on wealth globally of the 500 list of 2011 position that is down from 107 in the year 2009 (Cozzolino, 2012, 439-467).

This was after the escalation of fuel prices and carbon dioxide emissions was a concern in global warming (United Nation, 2008, 78-89). The resulting innovation was slow steaming ships that made it cut down on fuel use and emissions of carbon dioxide gas. The year 2009, significant fuel saving and carbon dioxide reductions as a result of sailing at 12 knots instead of sailing at 24 knots resulted to slow steaming and as a result a standard operational procedure and methods for Maersk ships was found (Cozzolino, 2012, 356-400).

A Bunker leap was introduced to cut down on energy consumption and fuel expenditure, a strategy that resulted to slow steaming of the entire process into full focus. They found out that 4000 tons of bunker oil could be saved during round in Europe within a large ship as Emma Maersk to Singapore. Steaming engines were profitable on multipronged facet-making the engines, reduction on carbon monoxide and fuel consumption was also reduced (Cozzolino, 2012, 64-98). Maersk was then mandated to redesign ships engine that was low in consumption of fuel. These were after engineers convincing that the even though they were slow on fuel use and slow in speed they did not cause danger to the crew. These were applauded by united nation because global warming was becoming an issue in the world.

Another key area was generation of value in the chain of supply. This takes three different forms i.e. Value expansion, value creation or capture and value retention. In value

Hi, need to submit a 1000 words essay on the topic Applying Theory to Practice Problem.

The Neuman model perceived clients as being in a state of dynamic equilibrium with the environment. The environment is also considered a perceptual field that surrounds each person. Neumann has focused on the stress factors and the reaction of each person to the condition that brings about the stress. She brought forth the conviction that stress factors comprise the environment. She further argues that the disequilibrium in the body system that is caused the stress is a tension. This tension acts as the stimuli, which has the potential of causing the illness to the individual that is suffering from the stress.

The environment is subdivided into two components that include the internal and external factors. The internal factors comprise of the forces that occur within an individual or intrapersonal stress factor. In our case, the example is smoking which the patient is involved in after being discharged. The external environment consists of interpersonal stress factors that result from interaction with other individuals. This is in terms of changes in the roles that can bring about stress to an individual.

The physiological issues in patient perspective involve things like the ability to see, hear and have mobility. There are other things like the ability to breath, sleeping, feeling, eating, speaking and the vital signs. This variable focuses on the physiological wellbeing of the patient.

The psychological variables involve the non-verbal behavior, attitudes, coping pattern and response to stress. These things focus on the psychological status of the patient. Therefore, by ensuring that the patient psychological status is appropriate one wil be able to facilitate the things that ensure the well-being of the patient is considered. There are various expectations in this variable that are recognized through evaluation of the patient’s behaviors and the way the patient handles stress.

The social variable reflects much on the individual’s values

Hi, need to submit a 1000 words essay on the topic Any topics,i will show the detail on instructions.

For some historians such as Bacino (3), the tensions between the two nations may have started in 1917 when the US sought to promote social and economic reconstruction in Siberia. During the same period, the Russians also made some efforts to enforce a structural transformation of the international political economy. It is possible that differences in ideologies existed between the two nations and these may have sparked some tensions. Most historians however focus on 1939 and 1940, which are also the years that marked the beginning of the Second World War. The views of the later group of historians is supported by a series of events which began with the secret Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact of August 1939, and a supplementary accord that followed a month later and revealed the Soviets’ invention to integrate Estonia, Lithuania, Finland, eastern Poland, and Latvia into their territory (Elsuwege 29). The Russian Army occupied eastern Poland in the same month and by 1940, the Red Army had occupied Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia. Russia however failed in its invasion of Finland in 1939 and this forced the Russians to accept cession of Finnish territory which it hoped would protect Leningrad from future invasions. The Soviet army advances in 1939 and 1940 and the signal that the Soviets received from Hitler’s Germany to expand westward culminated in the pursuit of Hitler’s defeated army to almost 100 miles west of Berlin. This evidence illustrates that Stalin had, at an early date, resolved to bring eastern Poland, the Baltic States, and Bessarabia within the expanding Russian empire but most of his expansion plans had to be put on hold between 1941 and 1944 as Russia defended its homeland territory. As shall be demonstrated later in this paper, some of the western leaders were uncomfortable with the Soviet’s territorial

Hi Need To Submit A 1000 Words Essay On The Topic Changes In Theoretical Paradig

Hi, need to submit a 1000 words essay on the topic Changes in theoretical paradigms have predominantly been driven by black swan events rather than resulting from proven paradigm.

Download file to see previous pages…

In the world of finance, these events are those that effect dramatic market movements, such as, for instance, the 2001 terrorist attacks, as well as the 2007 financial crisis, which both drove the markets dramatically lower. The recommended financial strategies to accommodate large market failures precipitated by black swan events are, of course, centered on allocating a small percentage of a total portfolio towards investment instruments that are to spike when the markets crash, while keeping the large share of the portfolio in the safest, black swan-proof, investment vehicles. This is part of a broader strategy aimed at spreading the risk among a greater number of vehicles for investment. One can say that these investing strategies may be an offshoot of an economic theoretical paradigm that may not be superior, but is conditioned by the painful experience of previous black swan events. The paper explores the dynamics of shifts in theoretical paradigm springing from black swan events (Kim 2010. Bloch 2013. Sood 2013). II. Discussion A history of tectonic changes in macroeconomic paradigms can be summarized as tales of existing economic thinking, such as classical economics and fundamental supply and demand models being upended by black swan events, such as the Great Depression in the case of classical economics. …

During the Depression this amounted to heavy spending by the US government to get the economy out of its hole. One can argue from this that the new paradigm is adopted not because it is necessarily superior, but because it adequately addressed the black swan event of the Depression, and showed good results in spurring the economy back on a track to growth. This new paradigm fixed demand, but was not particularly suited for instance to the black swan event of stagflation, where the economy was stagnant even as inflation spiked. The problem in this latter black swan event was that supply fell, leading to spikes in the prices of fuel and of food. This black swan event then led to a shift in paradigm back to classical economics, with Milton Friedman arguing that market forces are the best determinants of market efficiency, and are best left to their own devices, with the emphasis this time not on demand, as in Keynes, but on supply-side economics. Here then, from two successive black swan events, is proof that changes in economic paradigms are not necessarily driven by the shift to superior paradigms, but rather are borne out of the need to correct the imbalances and inherent problems in economic policies that were made evident by the black swan events. In these two examples it can be argued that classical economics and the efficiency of market forces is the superior paradigm, but as a result of the Great Depression it was junked in favor of Keynes, only to be re-adopted, tweaked, after the stagflation crisis in the 1970’s (Sood 2013. Bloch 2013).

Hi, need to submit a 1000 words essay on the topic Ansewring qustions.

There are things that we know from our birth and they do not need to be proved anyhow. These things are priori like 2+2 = 4, they do not need any evidences and explanation why it is so. The views of empiricists are quite opposite. they think that only experience can give way to knowledge. All the suppositions, which are considered by rationalists to be priori, empiricists considered as “trifling” if they were not proved by experience (Blackburn).

As for me I can’t state that I agree with any of these theories, both of them are useful. Philosophy is a science, in which we can’t find right or wrong opinions. However, I must say that the views of empiricists are closer to my own views. The fact is that I do not believe in things I did not see with my own eyes. Thus, in my opinion, the experience is very important and every supposition must have its own evidence to become a statement. We can state something only if it was already proved and we have the proofs.

2. Kant: Why, for Kant, is the rationalist argument insufficient to explain knowledge? What does it mean to know something is “a priori”? How exactly does the connection between our reason and sensory impressions work? Be sure to include some substantive text based information including the role of synthetic a priori propositions?

According to the great philosopher Immanuel Kant, it is useless to support something without the evidences received from experience. Every statement should be proved with the help of experience. The theories based on such approach like rationalist theories can’t be helpful anyhow. Thus, further work was needed to be done in this direction. These views were reflected by the great philosopher in his work called the Critique of Pure Reason.

According to Kant, the word “sensibility” and the word “sense” are closely connected in meaning. That is why,
