This was the period when elegant and clever verses, were very fashionable in England, her verses could seem smug at one moment and far-reaching in the next. As one goes through Stockton’s verses, one cannot help but notice the values she establishes and the understated way in which she develops her individuality. Stockton was an avid reader and an intelligent poet. she was able to maintain a fine balance between intelligence and emotions through her poetry.

Thomas Jefferson was well-educated and studied law. He had a wide knowledge of English history and political philosophy. Jefferson was a person of strong ideologies, he stressed that all men were equal and laid emphasis on natural rights, including right for migration, and was against the authority of parliament over the colonies, laid emphasis on ties only with the king. Jefferson wrote the ‘Declaration of Independence’, which was considered as a radical document, which had a great impact on the people of America. Most of Jefferson’s ideologies were reflected in the Declaration, his stress on the importance of the freedom of religion.

This was the main idea for the beginning of the republican society to work, through division of church and state. This was the main cause for the many splits in the many faiths in the colonies. It took a long time to split the church from the state because of the old fundamentals set by England. Jefferson set the movement for freedom in this declaration to give everyone a fair chance to be “whomever they wanted to be regardless of race, creed or religion” (Zinn p.77).

dance and artwork enhanced the participant’s knowledge of Native American culture, especially through the vendors who were eager to explain what they were exhibiting. Since most of the arts have been handed over long generations, it was possible to visualize the Native Americans hundreds of years ago. However, this event was all about the dance and music for most people attending.

Going to the event, I expected a day out enjoying the culture of Native Americans in Phoenix, although most of the Native Americans I know act like me most of the time. The event was more than I expected, however, as I realized that, the Native American culture in Phoenix is more diverse than I thought. For example, there are more than thirty distinct Indian tribes living in Arizona. The congregation of the Indians during their “pow wows” drew me to just how diverse Indian tribes are, rather than the few tribes most of us believe them to be. I expected the natives to be very social with one another, and I was not disappointed. It was possible to strike up a conversation with almost everyone. However, there was no marijuana anywhere, despite common myth that Native American POW wows are not complete without a marijuana smoking session among the old men.

During the course of the event, I learnt many things about Native Americans living in Phoenix. The first one was that the City of Phoenix was a prehistoric settlement of the Hohokam tribe who, however, had disappeared by 1054 A.D., rather than a settlement by the Pima tribe who came later. I was also fascinated to learn that the Hopi tribe in Phoenix had a home led by the mother who was also in charge of the family. As with several other tribes at the event, the Hopi are a matrilineal society, and they trace their families through their mother’s side of the family. I also came to understand why Native Americans wear a manta over their blouses. The manta was initially worn without anything underneath, fastened from one shoulder

He made decisions crucial to war and peace of the nations.

What is significant about this case is not only about the children and schools but also about the human tendency to prejudice people according to their race, color, religion, gender and ethnicity. At that time, racial prejudice was so strife that blacks are not allowed to enter public facilities and to attend same schools. The case is significant as the ruling of the Supreme Court to stop racial segregation of the white and black children became a turning point of the country development. This ruling became the basis for the future legal policies of human rights {Brown vs. Board. 2004)).

In 1954, the Brown vs. Board of Education was a legal protest on the right of the blacks to attend same school with the whites. The ruling of the law in favor of the blacks eventually opened the doors for equal treatment to children in education and to other public facilities. The case became so controversial that even President Eisenhower got so concerned and had to send army troops to Arkansas in 1957 at the height of the segregation crisis. (Almanac, p.554)

The significance of the Brown Case can still be felt until this day. Today, color discrimination is almost non-existent and have accepted the blacks in the society not only in the United States but also worldwide. In fact, the United States have elected the first black U.S.

This report also presents a comprehensive observation of the complex and subtle relationship that determine the success or failure of an organization. With a brief analysis, the report concludes the case, presenting a few suggestions drawn from the study. Introduction According to a 2004 survey by CSC Consulting involving more than 500 Information System executives, the main concern for IS executives is the alignment of IS to organizational goals. Currently, more organizations are embedding information system and information technology functions into their business activities, increasing the necessity for alignment between corporate goals and IS (Keyes, 2005:169). The central focus of this report is the strategic Information technology and Business plan as one of the ways of achieving alignment. The paper provides a comprehensive analysis of GTE Government Systems Corporation and its three-year efforts in developing a strategic IT plan (GTESystems, 2012:24). GTE Government Systems Corporation GTE Government Systems Corporation is a subsidiary of GTE Corporation, a communications giant. The headquarters of the corporation is in Needham, Massachusetts. The principle customer of the organization is the Federal Government, which makes about 80% of the corporation’s revenue. The corporation deals with space and earth-based systems, voice and data communication software and hardware, telecommunication installation, maintenance, and operation of computer-based network systems, intelligence imaging services, and electronic warfare (Cale and Kanter, 2000:1). All these products display the characteristic leading edge technology in image technology, computing, and communication. Fig1: Simplified Organization chart for GSC. Available from http://jitm.ubalt.edu/IX-1/article1.pdf. The corporation has five lines of products that the corporation develops and markets to customers: Communication systems, service sector, Systems Operation, Electronic Defence System, and Service sector. Moreover, the corporation adopts a corporate organizational structure that incorporates vice presidents for finance, legal, human resources, business development, and engineering, as well as their staffs. The corporation runs technically, with majority of the management having engineering backgrounds. In 1991, the company realized $2.1 billion in revenues, but they soon went down to about $1.3 billion in 1994, declining further to $1.2 billion in 1995 and 1996 (Cale and Kanter, 2000:2). The decline in revenues, resulting from decreasing military spending, prompted the management of the company to initiate campaigns to cut costs to ensure that necessary spending occurred due to relevant and effective expenditures only. Among the targets was the IS functions at the corporation. The paper presents the functions of the IS before the cost cutting measures, decision of executives about the functions of the IS, and the planning process resulting from the reorganization (Khosrowpour, 471). IS Prior to Cost Cutting Fig2: Partial Organization Chart before IS Reorganization. Available from http://jitm.ubalt.edu/IX-1/article1.pdf. The IS at the corporation was predominantly centralized.

In this context, the study has been undertaken among 700 Thai undergraduate students among the six different faculties and four different institutions as the sample to view the perception of varied students. Moreover, in order to compare the rate of plagiarism across the different facility, one-way ANOVA test has been performed. Also, as the study has been undertaken from the prospective of six different faculties thus, the one-way AVONA test has been conducted to measure the similarity and dissimilarity in the mean values of the statistics. Furthermore, the result of mean values derived from AVONA test helps to address the question that the rate of plagiarism differs among the faculties, which signifies that the attitudes of students towards different faculty are not similar (University of Vermont, 2014. Songsriwittaya et. al. 2009).

Schrimsher et.al. (2011) conducted their study with the goal of determining the attitude of students towards plagiarism as well as misconducts in the academic activities in the context of Samford University. Additionally, this research has been conducted using the primary data collection method from 681 Samford University students with the help of close ended question in yes/no form and rating based on Likert scales. In order to derive the aforesaid aim of the research, different research questions have been framed and the responses of the survey respondents have been analyzed using the Chi square test. Chi square method for the analysis of data significantly assists in determining the differences in the attitudes of the students, which is included in the survey. As such, the teacher can collaborate with language specialists in order to devise relevant activities. The instructor must ensure that the language of use should correspond with learning level of the students’ learning, while also being dynamic enough to allow the acquisition of more vocabulary. Other methods that will be helpful at this point include: setting tasks for learners to read. using readable and accessible texts to help learners develop their comprehension skills. using reciprocal teaching. making use of effective questioning. and reading handouts and written materials aloud. and finding ways to present materials through means other than written information (Lawton & Turnbull, 2007, p. 44).

As for numeracy and learning theory, it is important that the instructor offers alternative methods for solving problems. increasing awareness of the language of numbers [such as multiplication, addition, product, times and share]. and avoiding the assumption that learners arrival at correct answers necessarily means comprehension of the topic. There is also a great need on the side of the teachers to design exercises that are relevant and meaningful before according learners with opportunities to practice, sharpen and put the skills they have acquired to use (Lawton & Turnbull, 2007, p. 44-45).

Teachers should develop the culture of using up-to-date technologies such as whiteboards, m-learning and digital cameras to motivate learners. It is important at this juncture that the instructor encourages learner autonomy in ICT use. In this light, webquests the use of function keys and keyboard shortcuts will help develop individual ICT skills. Hi I Need Help With Essay On Ancient Rome Paper Must Be At Least 1500 Words Plea

Hi, I need help with essay on Ancient Rome. Paper must be at least 1500 words. Please, no plagiarized work!

The paper tells that the wonders of ancient Rome are many. It is easy to understand why historians feel that this society was the highpoint of the ancient world. This opinion is supported by the fact that so much of ancient Rome is still alive today in the cultures of the West. One way that the ancient Romans have affected the world is through the invention of the republican form of government. Their conversion of Greek direct democracy into a system of government that allowed the masses to participate while incorporating checks and balances to protect against corruption is a marvel. Many of the liberal representative democracies in Europe and North America are based in some way on the Roman Republic. Consuls, tribunes and the senate have modern counterparts in the House of Representatives, Senate and President in the United States. This form of government has spread all over the world thanks to the focus on individual and human rights that must be protected in order for this sort of democracy to work. Another way the Romans influenced our current world is through their focus on the rule of law. Roman laws were codified in The Twelve Tables. This became a foundation for all of Roman law that was to be enacted throughout the empire. The Roman emphasis on the rule of law ensured that justice could be guaranteed for all Roman citizens throughout the Roman Empire. This security encouraged trade and travel all over the Empire. Establishing the rule of law helps many Western nations today ensure that all citizens are treated fairly regardless of race or religious affiliation. A final influence that can be seen in America specifically is the connection between religion and politics. It is campaign season in America, and even though the Constitution of the United States declares freedom of religion, the religious and moral beliefs of the candidates is of great importance. It is reported in the news almost daily. Roman politicians were among the first to manipulate the religious beliefs of the population in an effort to win votes. The modern politics of religion have their origins with the orators and politicians of the Roman Republic and the Roman Empire. In class we talked about the ‘cradles of civilization’ we discussed four major ones, what are the similarities of these areas and are they the only ones? Along with the cradles of civilization what are the general characteristics of ‘complex societies or civilizations’? Physical geography is the major unifying feature of the ‘cradles of civilization’. Civilization started in geographic locations where a food surplus was easy to obtain. All of civilization is founded on the ability to raise more food than each individual farmer needs. This excess food leads to specialization of labor and provides the means for the beginnings of trade. All early civilizations started in places where some outstanding physical feature allowed for the creation of surplus food. In the case of the earliest civilizations, the physical feature was a river valley. The Sumerians in Mesopotamia were supported by the Tigris and Euphrates, the Harappans had the Indus, the Egyptians had the Nile and the Chinese had the Huang He. Rivers provided a source of food through fishing and irrigation for crops. As civilization developed, they also provided a means of transportation. Physical geography also affected later civilizations such as the Greeks and the Romans. Access to fertile, grain producing regions in Sicily and Crimea caused much of the imperial expansion and diplomatic intrigue for both of these civilizations. As each of these river valley civilizations grew, they developed certain characteristics that all complex civilizations seem to share. The first of these is a means of social stratification that is possibly justified or explained through religious beliefs and teachings.

Hi I Need Help With Essay On Analyse An English Translation Of The Nicene Creed

Hi, I need help with essay on Analyse an English translation of the Nicene Creed demonstrating how Arianism influenced the creeds formulation. Be sure to quote fragments from the creed demonstrating how it addressed facets of Arianism. Use at least five academic sources taken from the. Paper must be at least 1000 words. Please, no plagiarized work!

To begin with, the English translation of the Nicene Creed begins with the words, “We believe in one God, the Father, the Almighty,…”1. In these beginning words of the Nicene Creed, the Nicene Council Church fathers affirmed that there is only one God, the Father. This formulation was actually influenced by Arianism and it was in made in response to Arius’ heretical teachings that could be interpreted to mean that there is more than one God. Although Bishop Arius had not explicitly taught that there is more than one God, he had, however, taught that Jesus Christ is not God and that he is merely a creature of God. Despite denying the divinity of Jesus Christ, Bishop Arius, however, advocated worshiping Jesus Christ (Holcomb, n.d). By denying the divinity of Jesus Christ and advocating for the worship of Jesus Christ at the same time, Bishop Arius implied that there is more than one God who deserves human worship. This is what made the Nicene Council Church fathers to explicitly state at the beginning of Nicene Creed that, there is only one God, the Father Almighty.

The second element of the Nicene Creed, whose formulation was influenced by Arianism is the expression, “We believe in one Lord, Jesus Christ, the only son of God, eternally begotten of the Father,…”2. The formulation of this expression was actually in direct response to Arianism. The espression “eternally begotten” is central in the Nicene Creed. As we have said, Arius had denied the divinity of Jesus Christ on the ground that as a human being with material body, Jesus Christ could not possibly be eternal, like God the Father. Bishop Arius saw Jesus Christ as a creation of God, sent by God to earth to teach the humanity about God, and to save humanity from sin. Arius could not conceive how a divine God could have a beginning and could possess a physical material body like Jesus Christ. The Church fathers at the

These ducts flow from the liver all the way through the right and left hepatic ducts. The common hepatic duct connects with the cystic duct from the gallbladder forming the common bile duct, which runs to the duodenum from the liver. Not all bile, however, runs directly into the duodenum. The gallbladder first stores approximately 50% of the bile that the liver produces. This pear-shaped organ located directly below the liver. Subsequently, the gallbladder releases stored bile into the duodenum through a contraction in order to help break down fats in foods (Nyp.org 2008).

&nbsp.Acute Cholecystitis is closely associated with cholelithiasis (presence of gallstones in the gallbladder) and often, symptoms of cholelithiasis precede those of cholecystitis. However, patients may have acute cholecystitis on initial presentation. Cholelithiasis brings about biliary colic. Patients may exhibit the indolent history of the pain of inconsistent severity in the right upper quadrant of their abdomen, with probable radiation to the back’s scapular region, or pain may be localized or diffuse to the epigastrium. Most likely, gallstones cause ductal tissue inflammation, creating an edematous bile flow obstruction (Hebra and Miller 2010).

&nbsp.Hebra and Miller (2010) further explain that acute cholecystitis pain is similar to biliary colic except that it is usually more severe and continuous and lasts for several days. The pain may start as a vague discomfort and then it localizes to the right upper quadrant as inflammation spreads, affecting the surrounding peritoneum.
