Therefore, a political analysis of the Divine Comedy can allow for the reader to gain further insight into Dante’s relationship with Florence. This paper will discuss the political dimensions of the Divine Comedy, Dante’s criticisms of the Florentine political reality and lastly how Dante uses his passage through Hell to reflect how his exile is actually an act of Florentine patriotism. This analysis will yield an enhanced appreciation for and understanding the characters which intersperse Dante’s literary universe. The vast majority of the characters with which Dante populates the Divine Comedy originate from the city state of Florence. During Dante’s life, Florence was a prosperous city-state with legions of greedy merchants and contending violent political factions. The primary political division was between two major political groups, the Guelphs and the Ghibellines. In general, the Guelphs promoted Papal power while the Ghibellines promoted the power of the Holy Roman Emperor in Italy. To understand the political reality of Dante’s universe a proper understanding of this conflict is essential (Scott, 1996). During Dante’s early years, the Guelphs (who Dante’s family supported) came to power and forced the Ghibellines from power and into exile. Eventually the Guelphs would fracture into two factions: the Whites and the Blacks. The Whites centered on the Cerci family while the Blacks were members of the Donati family. Dante was a member of the White faction and served in the political leadership of the city. Ultimately, with the backing of Pope Boniface VIII the Blacks seized power, sentenced many to death and sent the others into exile. Dante would explore the nature of exile, corruption and political power through his various writings and be a critic of the Florentine regime (Olson, 2007). In Dante’s eyes Florence was a den of corruption and evil. Through his writing efforts to bring attention to these vices, Dante hope to save Florence from herself. In the Sixth Circle of Hell Dante places “sepulchers” or burial vaults in which “the lids” “have all been lifted” and “no guardian is watching over them” (Canto 10.7-9). A further example within the same canto is when Dante meets a Florentine Ghibilline named Farinata degli Uberti. Their conversation begins with an intimate first question, “Who were your ancestors?” (10.42). This structuring of dialogue highlights the powerful link between family and political affiliation during Dante’s lifetime. When Dante recounts to Farinata the events which have transpired since his death, he states, “If they were driven out they still returned, both times, from every quarter. but yours were never quick to learn that art” (10.49-51). Within the same dialogue, Dante recounts his own family political exiles yet highlights the face that after both times they returned to power. This is in contrast to the single time that the Ghibellines were exiled and how they never regained political power. This demonstrates the political tension between these two Florentine politicians. Yet, Dante recognizes Farinata’s patriotism and refers to him as “magnamino” or “great-hearted one” (10.73).

he employer and his/her employees is vital not only for resolving any potential employment disputes in future but for the benefit of the both parties as well. It is mandatory as per the employment law of the country which prescribes the document the sole proof for one’s employment with an employer. The law states that a contract of employment is generally referred to as a contract of service and is governed by general contractual principles as well as employment law principles and is therefore legally binding. There are two forms in which an employment contract can come into force, namely Expressed Contract and Implied Contract.

Expressed contract is always preferred as there is written document with the employer and employee as to the relationship between them. An expressed employment contract may be prepared specifically as a document for the purpose or the employment hand book may be used for the purpose. Employers usually would like to add some clauses in the written contract that protect them from the threat of employees entering into business with competitors.

Unlike expressed contract, implied contract does not contain any written/documented employment terms. Here, the terms of employment between the employee and employer is understood by implications. This form of contract is suggested for employment for which there is no need for any written contract as a base for future decision making. In this context, a point to be noticed is that unless otherwise expressed, the employees are obliged to work for the employer with due diligence and in such a context, the implied terms includes the following:

As stated earlier, the contract of employment is mandatory as per law and the legislation which make it compulsory is the Employment Rights Act, 1996 (ERA) and the Act says that where an employee begins employment with an employer, the employer shall give to the employee a written statement of particulars of his employment within two months of the beginning of

Hi I Need Help With Essay On Analysis Paper On The Movie Of Gods And Men By Xavi

Hi, I need help with essay on Analysis Paper on the movie, Of Gods and Men by Xavier Beauvois. Paper must be at least 1250 words. Please, no plagiarized work!

The Algerian countryside is a beautiful background for the awful events, happening there. To my mind, spirituality of monks and their ability to stay above vicissitude and wars and gain victory in the name of their highest goal is the most impressive context, shown by the director.

There is a strong historical background of the events happening in the film. The Algerian war in 1992 took away lives of 200,000 people and the Islamists killed the whole families in the name of their power in the government and their right to be elected (Jonkas, 2011). Deaths of the Algerian monks were initially acknowledged by Islamists, but later the Algerian authorities acknowledged the responsibility for their deaths. This fact makes the film even more tragic and mystical. The monks were tolerant and their attitude for the army and for the Islamists was equal: all of them were brothers for monks. Algerian monks were helping the inhabitants of the villages to remain in safety and keep the Algerian military and Islamist terrorist as far as possible from the villages (Sabbadini and Di Ceglie, 2011).

On the one hand, there is a strong religious conflict: because in spite of the fact that monks prayed for the world, it finally consumed them. After the tragedy Pope John Paul II appealed for the Cistercians in 1996: “He who loves his life will lose it, while he who hates his life in this world, will keep it for eternal life. If someone wishes to serve me let him follow me, and where I am there also will my servant be. If anyone serves me, the Father will honor him.” (John 12:24-26). The Church is positioned as a Church of martyrs. There are evidences of death in the name of other people, even those one, who tortured these people earlier. The Trappists of Our Lady of Atlas, the Bishop of Oran, His Excellency Pierre Lucien Caverie and some of his sons and daughters on the African

Hi I Need Help With Essay On Analysis Of The Greenstein The Presidential Differe

Hi, I need help with essay on Analysis of the Greenstein ; The Presidential Difference. Paper must be at least 1500 words. Please, no plagiarized work!

Greenstein argues that the success of a given president is in the fate of the emotional intelligence. Bottom line series of judgments is accessible throughout the book and theories behind the success of certain presidents. George W. Bush presidency has a proper review of his two terms and the inclusion of President Barrack Obama style of leadership (Greenstein 29). Further expectations on the effects of this style on presidency and legacy are also of high consideration.

Greenstein focuses on presidential achievements for the sake of making each of them a hero and some surpassing others. He also argues that all the presidents’ leadership style is as a result of their economic position, upbringing and family links on a political system. The possibility of emotionally castigating those who are vulnerable and elevate those who are scrupulously low is because of this system. To stigmatize former presidents this writer utilizes dysfunctional families. The truth is that emotionally handicapped types of leaders were not in the office only at his time, but he uses psychological profiles to table a great view of national leaders to the reader. He also makes use of the same to throw dispersion on certain presidents.

The author states that each modern president serves as an insight to reveal a distinct tone to this book. This insight utilizes both the strength and weakness of a particular president. The variations amongst all the president to the subject provides a correct advantage for comparisons and provides an allowance for the expansion of the responsibility sense. All of the presidents have a chronological coverage chapter wise. This permits the reader to skim through the book easily and read the materials for the president of interest. Despite this, the book’s content is of a perfect relation when reading from the beginning to the end in the subsequent analysis.&nbsp.&nbsp.

The television series was aired in 1974 as a western drama, but its popularity was due to its ability to make the shows interesting with intermittent comedy, heart-warming family scenes that present diverse scenarios of social themes ranging from struggling through economic and financial difficulties, family values and traditions, friendship and faith. A social theme that was presented in one of the episodes focused on social interaction, as well as family unity and close bonds. The social themes focused on the family as a close-unit of social structure composed of the father, mother and their children. In the program, the father is Charles Ingalls, played by Michael Landon. while the mother is Caroline Ingalls, played by Karen Grassle. The children are Mary, Laura, Carrie, Freddie, and Grace. There are three adopted children in subsequent episodes to total seven children in all. Due to the large family composed of many members, the social themes of poverty, struggle, and financial difficulties abound. In the episode entitled “A Harvest of Friends”, the father, Charles Ingalls had to work overtime and contract diverse duties with the objective of purchasing the deed to the farm. where the family recently moved into. Despite being tired and exhausted from being the sole breadwinner, Charles managed to spend time with his family like joining the rest of the family members at the picnic. In a scene where a kite was caught in a tree, Charles went up the tree to get it. However, due to exhaustion and loss of strength, Charles apparently slipped and fell breaking his ribs. Due to the injury, Charles was unable to work and tend the field and therefore the collateral for the deed, the oxen, was forfeited and would not be returned until payment was made within a stipulated time frame. It is at this situation when the family bonded together, and unexpectedly, members of the local community who knew the family and what happened to Charles, assisted in finding ways and means to get back the oxen and pay for the farm’s deed. The theories of social interaction were shown in play as members, not only of the family, united to achieve a common goal, for the benefit of the family. The values of love, support, camaraderie, unity, and faith amidst adversity prevailed. Non-Verbal Communication Patterns and Explanation of Meanings Since the setting of the program was in the late 1880s, the predominance in non-verbal cues was exemplified in the modes of dress which had to cater to the requirements of the time period.

An example to apply is Carl Jung who is a Swedish born psychiatric specialist, he introduced an important hypothesis of personality in the field of psychology. He also developed a self-governing theory of personality.

Carl both parents came from a religious background, his dad being a Swiss transformed evangelical minister, while his mum was a complete protestant minister. Consequently, religious influences circulated all the way through the existence of Carl since childhood to present. All these surrounding religious influences that existed in Carl’s life were fundamental especially in connection with the development of his theory of personality. Carl was evaluated to be an exceptionally intrusive individual all through his babyhood, as well as, premature adulthood. Carl as a young adult, hunted out his dad’s counsel on diverse religious questions, moreover he established that his dad once in a blue moon gave him fitting answers.

Carl claimed that this displeasure of not obtaining proper counsel resulted in a diverse detachment between him and his dad, on the other hand, Carl’s connection with his dad does emerge to have predisposed Carl’s afterward expansion of his personality theory. Whilst, dazzling upon his deliberations with his dad, he argued that his dad admitted his religion because of exclusively believing on faith, although he never in point of fact had a religious experience that really touched him expressively. Consequently, religion was a major element of Carl’s theory and was articulated in the form of religion that did stroke people in an arousing manner. (Clifford, 2005). Carl did not articulate to feel a requirement to consider the dissimilarity between churches, nor did Carl appear to feel obliged to pledge to a single religion. Carl obtained his recognized education from the University of Basel, where he studied natural sciences and later studied medicine. At the same time as he is in the university, Carl came across a book on psychiatry by Dr Richard von Krafft Ebing, from the book became also one of the turning points of Carl to come to a decision to penetrate into the profession of psychiatry. This made him come across a broad human emotion in his existence in this world, with his extinguished education, as well as, period in which he existed is a precise reflection of his theory of personality. During the begging of Carl’s profession as a psychiatrist, the duties of Sigmund came to be relatively significant. A relation between Carl and Freud started when Carl openly supported Freud’s psychiatric therapy. Freud was significantly impressed with Carl due to his shore up to his psychiatric therapy and came into conclusion that he was to be his successor. Later during a trip to America all together, Carl started to doubt the Freud’s emphasis on sexual motivation which was a vital issue in his theory of psychoanalysis. What Carl considered was that Freud’s theory might be without doubt accepted by American audiences if sexual enthusiasm was not a fundamental issue in Freud’s theory of psychiatric therapy.

Thus, relationship conflicts is a workplace is affected by poor communication strategies, lack of employee satisfactions due to pay or promotions, unavailability of career advancement chances, and the nature and quality of the relationships. The nature of conflicts in Axle Color Studio is mostly relationship conflicts as opposed to task conflicts.

The interview revealed that there have been many visible instances of relationship conflicts between staff members which cause strain on assistant-stylist relationship when we are understaffed with assistants. Much of the relationship conflicts identified by Alex and Jackie are traced to the stylists’ relationship outside the salon. Due to the fact that the salon has few employees, their relationship is more personal and thus, extends outside the salon and thus external conflicts are extended from outside the salon into the salon. Even though Alex and Jackie have tried to persuade their employees to avoid mixing outside issues with the salon issues relationship conflicts have continued to be inevitable in Axle Color Studio. Stylists in the salon agree that conflict in the salon has very negative energy as conflicts between two employees causes the other employees around them to become stressed out which causes the salon’s atmosphere to then become tense and unpleasant.
