short cause and effect essay 750 word minimum

In this shorter essay, you’ll use your critical thinking and research skills to write an expository essay, specifically one on cause and effect (see suggestions below).

Owl at Purdue (Links to an external site.) explains that “The the expository essay is a genre of essay that requires the student to investigate an idea, evaluate evidence, expound on the idea, and set forth an argument concerning that idea in a clear and concise manner.”

Prompt: In this expository essay you will conduct research to help explain the cause and effect of a particular issue. You will utilize evidence (logos) you acquire to support your essay. Because this is not an argumentative essay, you will not include a counterargument and rebuttal.

  1. Your essay must be 750 words minimum, MLA format.
  2. Include a minimum of two sources and a Works Cited page.

Some interesting and fun suggestions for your cause and effect essay:

  • medical students cheating on exams
  • effects of eating fast food for every meal
  • social media to improve social skills
  • homelessness in our communities
  • the effects of having pets
  • the effects of second-hand smoke on public health
  • the effects of aliens landing in your hometown
  • the rise of online education
  • the effects of robots replacing humans in the workforce (think Matrix or Terminator!)

paragraph on psychology 4

Hi please answer the following question using the links provided below, 6-8 sentence long paragraph would be great. No outside sources allowed.

In this unit, we learned about emotions, personality, and how groups influence individual behavior. These are issues that are personally and socially significant. We saw social and cultural influences on beliefs about race including how very young children hold beliefs about themselves and others based on race. We also learned about obedience to authority in the Milgram study and the Stanford prison experiment. For many students, this research is shocking. For others, it may help to contextualize some of our own experiences even today. What stands out from the research this week?

the framework for your research question s

Discussion: The Framework for Your Research Question(s)

A framework demonstrates an understanding of the theories and concepts that are relevant to your topic. It should be aligned with the problem, purpose, research questions, and background of your study. According to the PhD Prospectus Guide, “This theoretical or conceptual framework is the basis for understanding, designing, and analyzing ways to investigate your research problem (data collection and analysis).”

In psychological science, a theory is almost always associated with a prominent scholar and has been published in peer reviewed journals. You should not need to go “hunting” for a Framework. An appropriate theory has likely already appeared in articles you used to create the problem statement, the purpose, the research question(s), and the Background section of the prospectus.

To achieve alignment, the terms described in the Framework must resemble terms used in your research question(s).

To Prepare:
  • Review Chapter 3 of Creswell and Creswell, identified in this week’s Learning Resources.
  • Read the Problem Statement section of the Student Guide to Alignment.
  • Review the literature assembled in the Background section. Identify the various framework(s) used to support these studies.
  • Consider the framework that would best suit your research question(s).
  • Review the framework sections of at least one sample prospectus.

By Day 3 of Week 6

  • Describe the theoretical framework you will use for your Prospectus, including its origin(s) source.
  • Describe how this theory specifically relates to your research question(s).

intercultural communication and engagement

Gospel Communication Project Instructions (Part 1)

The Gospel Communication Project allows students to apply the principles of Cultural Intelligence to a specific cross-cultural evangelistic encounter. In this 3-part project, students will research cultural elements which will affect a person’s understanding of the gospel message, create a strategy for communicating effectively with a person from a specific culture, and present the story of God through video.

Part 1: Cultural Profile (Module/ Week 3)

This paper will be the first section of an ongoing gospel communication project in this course. For this paper, you should choose someone you know who is from a significantly different culture than your own (look for differences in things like country/region of origin, ethnicity, language, religion, time orientation, etc.). This person should be an unbeliever (or you will need to pretend that they are an unbeliever for the sake of this paper), and they should be from a macro-culture (think of a culture associated with a foreign country). You will write a formal academic paper about the cultural elements of this person. This paper will prepare you to share God’s story with them in an effective way for their culture and worldview. While there is no specific word count or page count for this project, significant effort should be made to thoroughly explore each of the topics below. Your paper should be neatly formatted and organized, and it should include a cover page, page numbers, footnote citations, proper headings and subheadings, and a bibliography. It should be double spaced and in Times New Roman, 12- pt. font.

the inclusion of nurses in the systems development life cycle 2

In the media introduction to this module, it was suggested that you as a nurse have an important role in the Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC). With a focus on patient care and outcomes, nurses may not always see themselves as contributors to the development of new systems. However, as you may have observed in your own experience, exclusion of nurse contributions when implementing systems can have dire consequences.

In this Discussion, you will consider the role you might play in systems development and the ramifications of not being an active participant in systems development.

To Prepare:

  • Review the steps of the Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
  • Reflect on your own healthcare organization and consider any steps your healthcare organization goes through when purchasing and implementing a new health information technology system.
  • Consider what a nurse might contribute to decisions made at each stage of the SDLC when planning for new health information technology.

By Day 3 of Week 9

Post a description of what you believe to be the consequences of a healthcare organization not involving nurses in each stage of the SDLC when purchasing and implementing a new health information technology system. Provide specific examples of potential issues at each stage of the SDLC and explain how the inclusion of nurses may help address these issues. Then, explain whether you had any input in the selection and planning of new health information technology systems in your nursing practice or healthcare organization and explain potential impacts of being included or not in the decision-making process. Be specific and provide examples.
