Topic: Analyzing Your Weather!
“Climate is what you expect; Weather is what you get,†is often attributed to Mark Twain, Robert Heinlein, and several others. Here is your chance to analyze the weather patterns in your area with the numerical measurements from this unit.
Main Post: Export the Weather Summary for your city for the recent month.
1) Export your daily weather summary for ZIP code 31905 from NOAA’s Climate Data Online Search. Detailed instructions and video found in the Unit 2 LiveBinder.
2) Open the data in Excel and select one of the quantitative weather variables to analyze.
3) Run Data Analysis->Descriptive Statistics on this variable. Copy and paste the Summary Table directly into your post or share it as an attachment.
4) Calculate the 1st and 3rd quartile of your variable.
5) Clearly state your 5-Number Summary (Min, Q1, Median, Q3, Max) in your post.
