Students this project will allow you to formulate and hypothetically develop your own research project. The purpose of this project is for the student to complete all the different steps necessary to implement a nursing research project.  This project will be subdivided into 4 different papers that will be submitted throughout the entire semester. The final paper will be the combination of the four areas. Please see separate file  items for each phase specific instructions

Again follow APA style mandates.Paper will be submit it via turn it in. 

Phase 1 is the planning stage of a research project, students are to prepare a 5-6 page paper identifying a specific topic that you would like to investigates and relates to transitional nursing. You will provide a brief introduction of the situation utilizing published nursing research articles to support your statement. This paper will also include 

1-Introduction to the Problem

2-Clearly Identify the Problem

3-Significance of the problem to Nursing

4-Purpose of the research

5-Research questions

6-Master’s Essentials that aligned with your topic

The purpose of this paper is to define, describe and explain your personal beliefs about the four concepts of the nursing metaparadigm and their 

inter-relationship to one another as they guide your current nursing practice. There are no right or wrong thoughts, feelings or beliefs; these represent your own philosophical beliefs. Then you must correlate or link your current philosophy to one particular nursing theory(ies), identify these. The final paper is to be typed according to APA format and no more than 4 pages in length. The paper should include a title page and reference list, however, these pages are not to be included in the final count. Evaluation criteria are as follows:  

Criteria for Personal Philosophy of Nursing Paper:

1. Introduction & Brief description identifies purpose of the paper and the factors influencing the development of the personal nursing philosophy. 1.5%  

2. Define, describe and explain your personal thoughts, feelings and beliefs about the concepts of the 4 nursing metaparadigms: 3.5%  

a. Person/client  

b. Environment  

c. Health  

d. Nursing  

3. Identification and brief description of the nursing theory(ies) found to be the most compatible with the student’s personal nursing philosophy. 3.5%  

4. Provided in-depth explanation with specific documentation, that demonstratescompatibility of personal philosophy with the nursing theory(ies) identified in #4 according to:  

3.5%  

5. Summary and conclusion 1.5%  

6. Organization, documentation, references followed APA format. 1.5%
