Read chapter 33 of the class textbook and review the attached Power Point presentation. Once done, answer the following questions;

Do you think that school nurses should or should not be allowed to discuss contraception and pregnancy options with students? What are the possible pros and cons?

Why are some parents choosing not to vaccinate their children in recent years? 

How do students view this issue? Should this be a parents’ right? Discuss any current events surrounding this issue- research, lawsuits, outbreaks, CDC news.

Do you feel that there are enough programs and funding available for children regarding mental health promotion and developmental issues? What types of programs are students familiar with? What areas do they feel are not well addressed? How would they improve this situation if given the chance?

As stated in the syllabus, present your assignment in an APA format, word document, Arial 12 font attach to the forum in the discussion tab of the blackboard title “week 12 discussion questions”. The requirements for the assignment are the following;

Interesting article, Joseph (2015) talks about theories that promote positive psychology. One of the theory is hope and uses the Harry Potter series to emphasize his point. The theory of hope by “Magyar-Moe and Lopez (2015) illustrate the importance of hope in fueling the good life through the perspective of hope theory” When receiving a diagnosis of lung cancer or any life altering diagnosis there is always hope. As the community nurse how would you go about implementing the theory of hope? And how would this theory change as the patient declines?
