The American Cancer Society estimates that by the end of 2012, more than 226,000 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer and more than 241,000 men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer (American Cancer Society, 2012a; American Cancer Society 2012b). With such prevalence of women’s and men’s cancers, patient education and preventive services are essential. In clinical settings, advanced practice nurses must assist physicians in educating patients on risk factors, preventive services, and for patients diagnosed with cancer, on potential drug treatments. The clinical implications of women’s and men’s cancer greatly depend on early detection, which is primarily achieved through preventive services. In this Assignment, you consider the short-term and long-term implications of cancer and drug treatments associated with women’s and men’s health, as well as appropriate preventive services.
To prepare:
- Select a type of cancer associated with women’s or men’s health such as breast, cervical, or ovarian cancer in women and prostate cancer in men.
- Locate and review articles examining the type of cancer you selected.
- Review the U.S. Preventive Services Task Force article in the Learning Resources. Think about available preventive services that providers might recommend for patients at risk of this type of cancer.
- Select two of the following factors: genetics, gender, ethnicity, age, or behavior. Reflect on how these factors might impact decisions related to preventive services.
- Consider drug treatment options for patients diagnosed with the type of cancer you selected including short-term and long-term implications of the treatments.
Write a 2- to 3- page paper that addresses the following:
- Describe available preventive services that providers might recommend for patients at risk of the type of cancer you selected.
- Explain how the factors you selected might impact decisions related to preventive services.
- Describe drug treatment options for patients diagnosed with the type of cancer you selected. Explain the short-term and long-term implications of these treatments.

Can Someone Paraphrase This For Me
/in Uncategorized /by developer1. The theory of cumulative disadvantage highlights the influence of earlier life experiences in the quality of life in old age. Using this framework, speculate on how one’s childhood and young adulthood might influence one’s economic and health status in old age.
According to Aging & Socioeconomic Status (n.d.), one of the economic and health statuses that could affect old age later is the impacts of socioeconomic status. The reasons for this has to do with our surroundings and environment in which we are brought up in, along with the subjective perceptions of social status and social class. Examples as to what impacts our quality of life as well as various opportunities and advantages that may be afforded to people within a more modern society compared to traditional. In a more modern society/culture, starting at a young age, a person has the power to make decisions for themselves as to what resources are available to be successful throughout their lives such as education, career, and even their mate.
This is because the socioeconomic status has been shown to have an impact on our functioning both mentally and physically throughout life. When we don’t achieve the higher standards of socioeconomic status while we are still young adults this is what ultimately leads a person to poorer education, poor health, and even poverty. “Society benefits from an increased focus on the foundations of socioeconomic inequities and efforts to reduce the deep gaps in socioeconomic status in the United States and abroad”(Aging & Socioeconomic Status, n.d.).

Can Someone Write A 4 Page Literature Review For My Health Class
/in Uncategorized /by developerThis is the assignment directions:
The Literature Review provides the background and context for the research problem and illustrates to the reader that the researcher is knowledgeable about the study. This section shares with the reader the results of others studies that closely related to the study being reported. It also related a study to the larger, ongoing dialogue in the literature about a topic, filling in gaps and extending prior studies. Summarize previous studies related to a topic them in a succinct manner. In a proposal, the literature review is generally brief and to the point.
Review various articles and dissertations, as they may help one to understand how to write and summarize previous research. When writing the literature review, it is wise to separate the various studies one finds into different categories. Under these categories, create “Level 2 subheadings” in APA style. These subheadings are formatted just like Level 1 headings, but they are aligned left. See the subheadings below for an example.
1stSubheading
Choose one evident theme or topic that became apparent when researching your study. Briefly share the results of the various studies, including the most pertinent information such as the studies’ hypotheses, population, methodology, and results.Relate the study to an ongoing dialogue of the literature pertaining to the research topic. This means that each study one lists should relate to new, proposed study in some way. Report the studies sequentially if possible, building upon the findings of prior studies. Remember to separate each category of studies with a new subheading. Do this as many times as needed. another evident theme or topic that became apparent when researching your study.
The topic I have written Is: Yoga and Decreased Levels of Depression in the Elder Population.
You will need to find 8-10 articles relevant to this topic and write in the literature review about it. Again It has to be 4 pages long. And all articles must be cited in APA format

/in Uncategorized /by developerRachel comes from a family with a history of breast cancer on her mother’s side. Rachel’s mother died of breast cancer when she was very young. Rachel has two sisters, Lisa and Kristin. Rachel has remained close to Lisa, but she no longer has a relationship with Kristin. At a routine checkup, Rachel is told about the availability of genetic testing for identifying a predisposition to breast cancer. Her doctor recommends the test to Rachel given her family history. Rachel has the genetic testing done and finds that she has a mutated breast cancer 1, early onset (BRCA1) gene. Her doctor tells her she is at high risk for developing breast and ovarian cancer. Rachel’s doctor suggests she ask her sisters to be tested also, so they can take the proper preventative measures. Rachel feels comfortable sharing this information with Lisa, but she has not spoken to Kristin in many years. Rachel tells her doctor that she is not in contact with Kristin and will not make an effort to tell her about BRCA1 and genetic testing. Rachel’s doctor feels confident that she can locate Kristin but worries about breaching patient confidentiality if she goes against Rachel’s wishes.
If you were Rachel’s healthcare provider, what would you do? Provide a rationale for your response. Include the pathological processes associated with breast cancer. What role does the BRCA1 gene contribute to managing the patient’s care? Describe and explain the role of the BRCA1 and breast cancer 2, early onset (BRCA2) gene in contribution as a risk factor for breast cancer. Analyze the risk factors for breast cancer and possible interventions to preventive health management for women and men.
