To prepare for this assessment, use the Internet to study the impact of health system’s power structure on nursing, leadership, diversity related to empowerment in nursing and patient outcomes, and recruitment of a diverse workforce. You may also wish to look for examples of an executive summary on the Internet.

  • Identify a type of health care facility and examine the Web site and available public information to review the organization of the nursing department, nursing recruitment, and any information about the diversity of the system’s workforce and leadership.
    • You may use the health care setting in which you currently work or have worked in the past.
    • Describe the type of organization and region. Example: a major Midwestern teaching hospital or a rehabilitation hospital on the East Coast. **Central Florida Region**

Scenario:
The city in which you work has undergone a significant population shift within the last 10 years, due to increased employment, education opportunities, and an influx of immigrants and refugees. To put the population shift in perspective, the local school district enrollment report states that nearly 100 languages are spoken in the schools, up from 32 languages in the last census. Senior leadership has asked you to examine all types of multiculturalism and diversitywithin your health care organization.
To do this, you will need to use a systems perspective to examine the relationship between a diverse workforce and patient outcomes; identify gaps between best practices and the organization’s diversity policies, and make a recommendation for organizational change.

In the executive summary:

  • Analyze the impact of a diverse workforce on patient outcomes.
    • In what ways or situations might multiculturalism and diversity impact health care delivery or patient outcomes?
    • How is diversity defined in the organization?
  • Analyze how the health care system integrates diversity and multiculturalism into its practices.
    • Is the makeup of the organization’s leadership representative of the patient and employee populations? Is this important? What would you change?
    • Explain how multiculturalism and diversity can impact health care delivery or patient outcomes.
  • Analyze current recruitment and retention policies to identify gaps between best practices and current policies.

RL is a 57 y/o Asian man with a history of bipolar disorder, generalized anxiety and explosive disorder. He is married to PL a 49 y/o Caucasian female with a history of generalized anxiety disorder and depression they been married for 20 year. They have two children an 18 y/o male that just graduated from high school and 16 y/o female that is currently a junior in higschool. Then have been coming to therapy for 6 months, the initial reason for coming to terapy is due to RL iniciated to have an explosive disorder his temper and anger outburst as well as challenges with substance abuse. His drug of choices is alcohol, he admitted to drink about two cans of vodka everyday and her wife feels that he is more explosive whe he drinks and he does not believe that he has a drinking problem and is not willing to go to a rehab or alcoholic anonymous. PL saids rhat RL has been physically, emotional and mentally abusing her in the past last time she was physicaaly abuse was 4 months ago which police was called but she did not want to persue any charges at that time in hopes  that he would improve. the expected outcome was less explossive outburst from RL, beeter insight about his drinking problem and better communication between the family. The therapeutic approach that is been used for this couple and family  is the existential therapeutic approach which this approach all member of the family are encourage to speak honestly on what he orshe see and hears feel and thinks. Wife and kids are afraid of him because they think that he will get easilly angry. Homework assignment has been given to RL to help to manage his anger as deep breathing and relaxation techniques and exercises. Perhaps narrative family therapy could be a better option for this family, narrative therapy helps peopleto sepatate themselves from problems and saturate stories.

PROCEDURE 1. Identify 10 – 20 variables that may affect seed germination. Record the variables in Table 5. 2. From your list of variables, select one to test. Form a hypothesis regarding why this variable affects seed germination. 3. Determine the positive and negative controls for your experiment. 4. To germinate the beans, place one folded paper towel into the 5 x 8 in. plastic bag. The paper towel should be moistened, but not soaking wet. Place ten beans in a horizontal line on each enclosed paper towel. Then, seal the bag completely. 5. Prepare three bags of beans for each condition (positive control, negative control, variable). 6. Use masking tape to hang each bag in the environment you select. 7. Collect data, and then create a table, including title, units, and any other useful information. 8. Select the appropriate type of graph, and report the data you collected. 9. Write a lab report for this experiment.

Introduction

You should have met with an expert clinician who works and/or studies in your chosen research area of interest (for example, masters or doctoral-prepared nurse, MD, PsyD, PhD, PA). This person might be a colleague or peer where you are currently employed, a local hospital or other organization, an author of a research paper you read, or someone you found during an Internet search. You could have met with this person in person, using Zoom, or over the phone, but your conversation must be a verbal discussion that lasts approximately 20 to 30 minutes.

During the interview, you should have asked the expert: what gaps in knowledge in the science they believe exist; their recommendations they have for you to conduct research to figure out how to fill these gaps; what gaps in knowledge in the science they believe exist. Other questions asked should have included:
