Mt140 Unit 6 Assignment Jenny Noticed What Appeared To Be A Discrepancy In The T

MT140 Unit 6 AssignmentHere is the script for the video I had to watch: Jenny: Wow, this looks like a discrepancy in the time sheet on one of the customer associates. Jenny: Hi Erin. I wanted to check on something in one of the time sheets this week. What happened? Erin: Well, one of the crew supervisors let one of our employees “swap out” work hours against the next time period. Jenny: Erin, you know we don’t allow anyone to do that. Let me get back to you on this. Jenny in office thinking out loud: That is not good. This is a practice that is not covered. After reading this handbook, it seems like many of the duties that employees were expected to do and were in fact, evaluated on were also not clearly addressed. We need to update this manual! After reading the scenario above and the textbook section on Bureaucratic Control Systems on pages 287-289, respond to the following question: How can I apply the four step control process outlined in the text to address this problem?

Much Of The Knowledge We Gain Comes From Our Learning And Personal Experiences F

Much of the knowledge we gain comes from our learning and personal experiences.  For this assignment, you will spend time talking with an experienced preschool teacher or, if you are currently a preschool teacher, you can answer the questions yourself.  Your assignment is to select five questions regarding the support of language acquisition and language developmental stages in the classroom. Please review these possible questions that could guide your interview or you can create your own questions.

For this project, choose one of the following methods of completion:

Option 1

  1. Identify five questions that you could ask someone with preschool experience about how they support language acquisition for the stages of development in the classroom.  Document the interview.  You can record the interview (with permission) or you can write your questions and answers.
  2. Analyze the provided answers using your knowledge gained, the textbook, and at least one other resource to substantiate or refute their answers.  You can provide elaboration for or against their responses further strengthening your own understanding.
  3. Summarize and explain three ways you will meet the needs of children in this stage to support their language development using the provided answers and your knowledge.

Option 2

  1. Identify five questions that you may be asked in a future interview regarding how you will support language acquisition for the stages of development in your future professional role.  Document the interview. You can record a mock interview or you can write your questions/answers.
  2. Analyze your own answers using your knowledge gained and information from the textbook and at least one other resource to substantiate your writing.
  3. Summarize and explain three ways you will meet the needs of children in a developmental stage of your choice to support their language development using your knowledge of language acquisition.

The interview can be submitted as a video, an audio recording, or a Microsoft Word document (which would be two to three pages in length).  You will also submit a one- to two-page Microsoft Word document (in addition to the title page and reference page) with your developmental level selected and elaboration of three ways you can meet the needs of the children in this developmental stage.  Please support your ideas with information from the textbook and at least one other outside resource.  Your paper must be written in APA format as outlined in the Ashford Writing Center, and include at least one scholarly resources in addition to the course text.

When you submit your assignments each week, they will be returned to you with specific feedback.  This feedback should be used to revise the assignment for the Final Project.  Please make the necessary corrections and save for Week Five use in the Final Project.

Much Power And Authority To Determine Which Cases Are Prosecuted And Whether A P

Why do prosecutors have so much power and authority to determine which cases are prosecuted and whether a person will face a harsh penalty or get away with a slap on the wrist? The answer is simple: “prosecutorial discretion.” Under American law, government prosecuting attorneys have nearly absolute and unreviewable power to choose whether or not to bring criminal charges and what charges to bring.

There is no doubt that prosecutorial discretion is a necessary and important part of our system of justice — it allocates sparse prosecutorial resources, provides the basis for plea-bargaining and allows for leniency and mercy in a criminal justice system that is frequently harsh and impersonal. But it also places prosecutors in one of the most powerful positions in our criminal justice system. They literally have unchecked power to decide who will stand trial for crimes. Though most prosecutors use their discretion wisely and ethically, that discretion can also be misused to bring criminal charges — or to refuse to bring them — based on a prosecutor’s own personal political beliefs.

So, what are the limitations on prosecutorial discretion discussed in the text?

Speaking of limitations on discretion… have you thought about how body cameras will limit police officer discretion?
