• Please remember that      sources like the CDC or WHO are great places to get information from, but      they are not considered scholarly sources. Scholarly sources are      peer-reviewed and written by experts in the field.
  • You can certainly       continue to use them as references
• Please avoid very lengthy paragraphs because it causes      several ideas to be clumped together as one and that is not very clear to      understand. Instead, your paragraphs      should be about 5-7 sentences long with transition statements to guide the      reader into the next though. 
• Unless otherwise      specified, when asked to give examples it is best to give 2 or 3 strong examples with strong      supporting evidence backed by your literature review, as opposed to 6 or 7      examples loosely stated.
• Citation – Remember      to cite content that is not your      original idea, and that is      not common knowledge.
  • If you state that       “The use of healthcare continues to rise because of technology,       access to care and population increase” — this needs to be cited. We as healthcare professionals       may understand this, but others may       not necessarily know this information. They need to know this was       obtained from a source and not just your thought.
  • If you make       inferences or draw conclusions you may state – “some factors that       must be considered include       technology, increased population and technological advances” – this       is not a definitive statement. This       shows that you have considered several factors involved and you can then       use your references to further elaborate on each factor. 

Each post should include appropriate foundation knowledge, be factual, and enhance the ongoing dialogue. Each post should demonstrate either the application and/or reflection of knowledge. Your responses should expand on a classmate’s comments or advance the dialogue through follow-up questions Your responses should be open-ended to encourage continuing the conversation. Very few grammatical/spelling errors

Review one of the tutorials on quality measures from the AHRQ: National Quality Measures Clearinghouse website. Provide an overview of what you reviewed and its application in your practice.

DQ 2

The assigned article “Large-System Transformation in Health Care: A Realist Review” identifies several outcomes for effective transformation. Discuss one of those measures and the implications for change in your practice.

Module 5 Project 2 Instructions

Overview:

This project will require students to identify as business that they would like to own or manage, develop a master budget, provide a budget justification / list of assumptions, and identify areas that they would focus on to ensure their success. The budget period must be one year.

For this project, students may work alone or in a team of 3 or less. If students choose to work in a team, they must email the instructor identifying all members of the team.

Each team will select a business and then develop a master budget for the business. You will also provide a budget justification, which is a breakout that lists the assumptions and resources you used to come up with the numbers in your budget. A good resource to utilize is Biz Stats or another standard cost / benchmarking site.

Documentation Required:

All sources should be cited using APA formatting.

Report Requirements:

Each team will submit a report addressing the following:

• Brief description of your business including: Desired Location, Hours of operation, Services provided, and description of space needs.
• Master Budget for a one year period
  • At minimum, must include:
    • Sales
    • Costs of Sales/ Costs of Good Sold
    • Gross Profit
    • Salary & Wages
    • Benefits
    • Rent
    • Advertising/ Marketing
    • Net Profit
    • Budget Justification for the numbers provided in each line item
• Reflection:
  • Answer the following two questions:
    • As the owner or manager of this business what areas would you keep an eye on to ensure peak performance?
    • What type of analysis would you perform to ensure you are on the right track and how often would you conduct your analysis?
• Breakout of Effort
  • Each team will list what each team member did to complete this project.
  • This breakout can be ignored for those that elect to do this project alone.

Quality is often described as the fourth triple-constraint (cost, schedule, and scope). Address project quality by discussing the following key topic elements:

• First, in your own words, with appropriate support, define the construct of quality and distinguish quality in the context of project management.
• Then identify one of the common quality tools designated in the PMBOK® Guide (Project Management Institute, 2017), in the course text book, or based on your research (i.e., data tables, C&E Analysis, or Pareto Analysis) used in project quality management and rationalize its use in a specific project scenario.
