During this semester, you will create a job description. Please review the sample job description provided to the right as a point of reference. Submissions should follow the style and format provided in the sample provided; review the sample job description fully. Your work and language should be original; plagiarism will be monitored. 

You should focus on a job for which you have ample experience, knowledge, and/or interest. The goal of this assignment is to better understand the nature of a job and how to analyze one. The project is broken up into three (3) assignments; each part is worth 5 points for a total of 15 points. You will be submitting each assignment as an attachment via the Assignment Dropbox.

• Job Description- Part A: Create a draft of the first page including the first three sections of the job description, to include: Job Title, Purpose, Summary, and Essential Functions.
• Job Description- Part B: Complete the draft of all sections of the job description. Please review the Final Job Description Suggestions.
• Final Job Description: This segment of the project will include all sections of the job description, a revision of the previously submitted final job description draft. Ensure that you include any appropriate corrections you made to the final draft previously submitted.

Manage Your Health, Inc. ( MYH) is a Fortune 500 company that provides a variety of health care services across the globe. MYH has more than 20,000 full-time employees and more than 5,000 part-time employees. This application would include the following capabilities: – Allow employees to register for company-sponsored recreational programs, such as soccer, softball, bowling, jogging, walking, and other sports – Allow employees to register for company-sponsored classes and programs to help them manage their weight, reduce stress, stop smoking, and manage other health-related issues. – Track data on employee involvement in these recreational and health management programs – Offer incentives for people to join the programs and do well in them ( e. g., incentives for achieving weight goals, winning sports team competitions, etc.). 2. Health Coverage Costs Business Model: Develop an application to track employee health care expenses and company health care costs. Health care premiums continue to increase, and the company has changed insurance carriers several times in the past ten years. This application should allow business modeling of various scenarios as well as tracking and analyzing current and past employee health care expenses and company health care costs. This application must be secure and run on the current intranet so several managers and analysts could access it and download selective data for further analysis. The new application must also import data from the current systems that track employee expenses submitted to the company and the company’s costs to the insurance provider. You believe that having this data will help you revise policies concerning employee contributions to health care premiums and help you negotiate for lower premiums with insurance companies. You estimate that this application would save your company about $ 20/employee/year for full-time employees over the next four years and cost about $ 100,000 to develop.3. Cross-Selling System: Develop an application to improve cross selling to current customers. The current sales management system has separate sections for major product/service categories and different sales reps based on those products and services. You see great opportunities to increase sales to current customers by providing them discounts when they purchase multiple products/services. You estimate that this system would increase profits by $1 million each year for the next three years and cost about $800,000 each year for development and maintenance. 4. Web-Enhanced Communications System: Develop a Web-based application to improve development and delivery of products and services. There are currently several incompatible systems related to the development and delivery of products and services to customers. This application would allow customers and suppliers to provide suggestions, enter orders, view the status and history of orders, and use electronic commerce capabilities to purchase and sell their products. You estimate that this system would save your company about $2 million each year for three years after implementation. You estimate it will take one year and $3 million to develop and require 20 percent of development costs each year to maintain.Assignment:Prepare a weighted scoring model to evaluate these four projects. Develop at least four criteria, assign weights to each criterion, assign scores, and then calculate the weighted scores. Print the spreadsheet and bar chart with the results. Also write a one-page paper describing this weighted scoring model and which project you would like to choose based on your analysis.

Managed care is a complex system involved in the financing and delivery of health care. The main goals of this system are to control access, quality, and cost of health care. MCOs have complex relationships or contracts with buyers (employers or individuals), providers (health care facilities and physicians), and consumers (patients). To this end, there is a need for complex management structures to organize and oversee these relationships.

There are six different medical management committees typically formed within an MCO. Some serve operational purposes while others serve to meet regulatory and quality standard functions. Refer to the readings of this week and answer the following questions:

• Research a Managed Care Organization [MCO] (e.g. Blue Cross Blue Shield, Aetna, Humana, etc.) online. Discuss the similarities and differences between six medical management committees of an MCO.
• Analyze the main role of each committee on the basis of your research.
• Explain out of the six committees, which committee do you feel is the least important. State your reasoning using specific examples from your research.
• In addition, how is the information you found online similar and/or different from what is described in your readings?

After answering the above questions, read the following information:

The development of MCOs has been influenced by the type of market they serve. For example, BCBS companies moved from primarily a service plan provider to a multiproduct line that includes HMO, PPO, and consumer choice plans. In addition, various types of managed care organizations have emerged due to forces imposed by the state and the federal governments, such as the HMO Act of 1973. Answer the following questions keeping in mind the above information:

• Examine how public policy has impacted the growth of managed care.
• Evaluate the impact of one federal and one state-level policy.
• Compare and contrast the ways the policy caused the managed care market to grow or retract.

Managed Care was birthed in the 1980’s. The concept of managed care was implemented as a cost-containment measure of the once soaring healthcare expenditures.  Recommended process:

1. Identify a cause that you would like to support or a not-for-profit with which you would like to collaborate.
2. Define a project that you would like to accomplish that would take about 4 hours to complete with 4 people; in short, a valid project requires at least 16 hours of work. You could propose a larger project if two of you wanted to work together and include more people on your project.
3. Prepare a proposal with for my approval. See below for guidelines on the proposal.
4. Line up 3 people to work on this project with you. You may include one of your Leadership 3800 classmates. You may include one family member. You may not include anyone who works directly for you.
5. Schedule a date(s) to do the project.
6. Complete the project.
