The four types are:

1. Static Budgeting

3. Flexible Budgeting

4. The Rolling Budget

Describe the theory behind each method, the pros and cons, and what

method is best for your current or previous organization.

Length: 5-7 pages, not including title and reference pages.

The final project Portfolio Assignment requires you to build a professional document incorporating the central lessons you have learned throughout this course. For this Portfolio Assignment, please select an organization that you work for or one that you are familiar with. Then, complete the following:

1. Provide an organizational profile that includes information about the organization’s mission, vision, culture, and strategy. This information, aside from the mission, should be explained in your own words. 
2. Explain the organization’s industry, provide information about its competitors, and provide details about how the organization can differentiate itself from other organizations within the industry.
3. Compare your organization to any one of the organizations in the article “Building talent: The very best of 2017,” found in the required readings. The comparison that you provide should provide details regarding how your organization differs in terms of talent recruitment, selection, and retention, as well as how your organization measures up in terms of training and development opportunities.
4. Identify how your organization assesses employee performance and explore the strengths and weaknesses of your selected organization’s performance management system.

In our work and personal lives, we need to be able to identify and analyze effective verbal and nonverbal communication in various situations. In the same way that you would analyze a work or personal life communication situation, you will be asked to create a short presentation (using media choices below) about the nonverbal communication demonstrated in a series of photographs. In addition to identifying aspects of nonverbal communication, you will also need to show how these elements can affect communication both positive and negatively. Include your observations of how nonverbal elements that you see alter the direction of communication.

1. Select four of included photographs.
2. Using either PowerPoint or Prezi, create a presentation that demonstrates your comprehension regarding these communication elements: Please include the following:
   1. A title slide including your name.
   2. Four slides that explain aspects of the nonverbal communication that you see depicted in the photographs. Be sure to include the photograph on the slide. Be as specific and detailed as possible in your description of body language, facial expression, physical distance (if applicable), gesture, and other aspects of nonverbal communication that you see.
3. Using Screencast-o-matic (screencast-o-matic.com) or similar software, create a short video presentation of your PowerPoint or Prezi. Explain in detail the nonverbal elements of communication that you observe in each of the four photographs you have selected. Video should be between four and seven minutes long. This video should either be of the presentation itself or a hybrid video that includes both the presentation and an inset webcam video.
4. Upload your video to screencast-o-matic, YouTube, or similar online video sharing site and provide a link to your video. Include your PowerPoint or Prezi with your submission.

2.   For each of the independent variables listed in part 1, use plain language to explain why the relationship shown in the scatterplot and regression equation make sense in the context of the situation you’re exploring. However, if either the slope or intercept of the equation seems counterintuitive given your intuition, also make a note of that in your explanation.

3.   Run a multiple regression for your data. Paste a screenshot of the results below.

Part Three- Generate a Revised Regression Equation

In order to satisfy this part of the project, you will complete the following.

Addressing nonlinear relationships:

1.   For each of the independent variables listed in part 1, paste a screenshot of its residual plot against the dependent variable Y here in your project document.

2.   Review the residual plots and determine which, if any, suggest a nonlinear relationship with the dependent variable. List suspected nonlinear variables in the table below.

3.   Use the Semilog and Log-log Transforms tool for the scatterplot for each independent variable listed, and include screenshots of the plots in the table.

4.   List the independent variables with nonlinear relationships.

Part Four—Validate Your Model

In order to satisfy this part of the project, you will complete the following.

1.   Share a one-page summary of your project.

In your summary, include a brief description of the context and the dependent variable of interest. Make an argument for the viability of your model. Aspects of your argument may be based on statistical details such as p-values for coefficients, signs and magnitudes of coefficients, and R-squared values.

For attributes you have included in your model, be sure to address the consistency of linear relationships and any nonlinearities. Where possible, draw a connection between these attributes and the working realities of the situation being described.

If there are any missing drivers or attributes that have been excluded and which seem relevant to the situation, make a note of these and explain the reasoning and potential impacts of excluding them. In this discussion, be sure to address not only attributes excluded on purpose as well as those excluded because of unavailability of data.
