I need some assistance with these assignment. yellow womanand hills like white elephants Thank you in advance for the help! Your full April 14, Stories’ Analyses “Yellow Woman” by Leslie Silko and “Hills Like White Elephants” by Earnest Hemingway are different short stories with different plots but similar theme. Both of the stories show female characters searching for their identities that they can best relate with. They are not happy with the current identities. are eager to embrace the new identities. but, are also afraid to lose their relations that are linked to their current identities. Women are in a constant search for identity, but they have to make a lot of compromises to keep their relations (theme).
Leslie Silko, in her short story, “Yellow Woman”, has tried to explore boundaries between tradition and modernity, and between myth and reality. The narrator is a young, married woman, who enjoys a brief affair with a strange man named Silva in a faraway place near the waters. The myth of the Yellow Woman and the katsina spirit of the mountain is brought into question, as Silva calls her his Yellow Woman, luring her into going with him. When the woman returns to her home in Peublo, she finds herself meeting the reality, but she still waits for Silva to return to her one day and take her with him, like the katsina spirit of the mountain took the Yellow Woman with him. Silko has described how the modern day woman is in search of her sexual and gender identity, and how she uses her imagination to feel in love with a man dominating her, as we read, “You don’t understand, do you, little Yellow Woman? You will do what I want,” says Silva to her (Silko 370). The woman is in search of a man who loves her, but comes back to reality much sooner than she realizes that it is all over.
Earnest Hemingway, in the short story “Hills Like White Elephants”, has also made use of symbolism, like Silko did in her story. Silko symbolized the modern woman with the Yellow Woman, and the stranger named Silva with the katsina spirit. Likewise, Hemingway symbolizes the mountains with elephants. For the heroin of the story, Jig, mountains seemed like white elephants, slow and stable. She wanted to have the child so that her stable married life could start. The man did not want the child, as for him, life would become slow and stagnant just like the mountains. Jig was in search of her new identity as a mother, and the man wanted to reject this new identity by having the child aborted. Hence, we see that the two characters are faced with the dilemma of either choosing or rejecting their new identities as parents. But, Jig admitted to the man’s idea of abortion because she knew she had to compromise, because she knew she would shatter, as we read, “Ill scream” (Hemingway 101).
The similarity between the two stories shows itself in the setting. There are mountains, and faraway places, and the character are in a sense of motion and travel. Also, the search for identity is the common theme in the two stories. However, the difference is between the two women’s approach toward the acceptance of truth. The Yellow Woman agrees to her present identity, but waits silently in her heart for the stranger to take her away. while, Jig seems to shatter within herself on the thought of compromising over the abortion matter.

I Need Some Assistance With These Assignment Why We Should Have A Black Presiden
/in Uncategorized /by developerI need some assistance with these assignment. why we should have a black president Thank you in advance for the help! The United States should have an African, or Black President, because it’s the only way to demonstrate principles of equal human rights in actual fact. All the history of the United States has never been anything but a chain of white male presidents. Oddly, little has been said about this embarrassing subject. Of course, America probably has to break a few more social barriers before a black president could be elected. To be frank, a lot of people are not ready to have a black man or woman as President. On the other hand, there are a lot of progressive people, black and white, concerned that democratic principles should be implemented in the real life indeed.Electing of African President in 2008 will help to attract an attention of publicity to the problems of black community, such as educational, health, social, political and other issues. According to the recent Gallup Survey on “Black-White Relations” cited in Cronc, seven out of ten whites believe that blacks are treated equally in their communities: an optimism with which only 40 percent of blacks agree. Eight in ten whites say blacks receive equal educational opportunities, and 83 percent say blacks receive equal housing opportunities in their communities. Only a third of whites believe blacks face racial bias from police in their areas. If a Black President is elected in the United States in 2008, these problems will more likely to be solved. (1999)I think that the main benefit of Black President is providing the United States with the real equality in all areas of life. Also it will show to every black person that there is nothing impossible for him or her in self-development. Self-confidence of colored people will serve as a powerful tool for further development of democracy in the United States.
Also, Black President will stimulate black people to get involved in the political process. If we have a black woman as a President, feminist’s movement will also become more politically active and more significant.
The idea of America having its first Black president has resonated with many African-Americans over the years, especially with the emergence of Illinois Senator Barack Obama.
Obama is the third African American since the Reconstruction Era to serve in the United States Senate. He is also the only African American currently serving in the Senate.
Obama showed he had national appeal last year, when he delivered the keynote address at the Democratic National Convention. Though he was not even elected into office yet, dreams of a black President popped into the heads of many African Americans who watched as Obama electrified an audience of all races.
Obama is not the first African American to show national appeal as a potential presidential candidate. The Rev. Jesse Jackson ran twice in the 1980s, and though he did not win the White House Jackson showed that he had enormous appeal outside of the African-American community. Jackson managed to attract 6.9 million votes from Urban Blacks, Hispanics, poor rural whites, farmers, factory workers, feminists, homosexuals and white progressives.
One more step to an African President is Bill Clinton, who often is referred to as the “black president” because he was so receptive to the needs of African Americans and because he worked to include them in the political process more than any other president.
Reasons cited here for Clinton’s popularity among blacks include his poor Southern upbringing and underdog status, the fact that he appointed more blacks to his cabinet and other federal posts than any other president, and good timing (he came into office after three consecutive Republican administrations). But perhaps the biggest factor discussed is the genuine ease with which Clinton relates to black Americans. Blacks trust him to consider their perspective and do not view him as just another white politician who appears only during election years. This is not to say that Clinton always did their bidding. he often disappointed them.

I Need Some Assistance With These Assignment Women In Business And Management Th
/in Uncategorized /by developerI need some assistance with these assignment. women in business and management Thank you in advance for the help! To gauge the truth in these notions, Miss Sandra Harding of James Cook University was interviewed for this research report. She is an immaculate leader of modern times and she has led her organization to success through one post or the other. Upon research, it was found that her personality traits of compassion and empathy have been instrumental in making her a great leader. She never faced any stereotyping issues, majorly because the people that she works within are from the academics who have been great advocates of equality amongst both the genders. She considers teamwork as necessary to become a great leader. giving equal importance to all in such a situation. Also, she believes that without the support of a support system, either friend or family, it is impossible to work as hard and give your full attention to work and related matters. Therefore, support is important as well. All in all, there are many similarities between the theories that we have studied and in reality, however, women are now becoming empowered to become leaders and be good at it as well.
Leadership is the process by which one individual influences others to accomplish desired goals. Within the business organization, the leadership process takes to form of a manager who influences subordinates to accomplish goals defined by top management. Leadership is a phenomenon that changes in a variety of ways when it comes to the gender which has occupied this responsibility. The women is a delicate being by nature and taking such a powerful position, that of a leader demands a balancing act between these sensitivities and command. (Miller, 2010)
The social structure that we live in is mainly dominated by men. And thus, when women occupy such a strong position, one in which many men would have to abide by what she says or where the final word will be hers, the phenomenon becomes complicated, and its dynamics change than what they were if a man had been a leader.

I Need Some Direction In This Problem I Don T Expect The Entire Thing Answered B

This is for my Operations Management class. Here is the story and the worksheet is also attached.
Parking Problems
Your Job
You have been selected to be part of a problem-solving situation that will make recommendations to management on a variety of problems and issues. You must (1) consider a variety of potential solutions and the potential negative response to each alternative, (2) reach conclusions on recommendations, and, (3) present specific details to management.
You have to read the details of the problem and make notes. You then have to consider and come up with a recommendation on the parking situation.
The Parking Situation
The company is anticipating hiring 60 new employees, 20 on each of three shifts. At this time, the space allotted to parking will accommodate only an additional 4 cars on the day and afternoon shifts, and 10 cars on the midnight shift. The reason less space is available during the two day shifts is that from 7:30 A.M. to 6:30 P.M. 6 spaces are reserved for visitors.
Currently, there is construction going on at the company that makes expansion of the existing lot impossible. Construction will be completed approximately 12 months from now. At that time the parking lot will be expanded by an additional 30 regular parking spaces. The additional space will be sufficient for all anticipated growth at this site.
Currently, there is also a problem when the midnight shift works overtime. Workers on this shift often park in the visitor spaces; their cars may be in reserved spaces after 7:30 A.M. When visitors arrive early in the morning, all visitor spaces may be filled. Because customers are very important to the company, convenient spaces must be available for them. Sometimes people have been asked to move their cars to make adequate parking available for visitors.
In a related problem, it has been brought to the attention of management that two people who work the afternoon shift park in the visitor spaces. They park there when arriving only a minute or two before they are to start their shift and when the only available spaces are at the far end of the parking lot.

You clearly did not review my assignment thoroughly or else you would be able to assist with something as small as constructing a thesis for the following Group 1 (Independent variable)H1: An individual’s willingness to recycle electronic waste is significantly associated with specific factorsGroup 2 (Independent variable)H2: A business’s willingness to recycle electronic waste is significantly associated with specific factorsBest Guess (Dependent Variable)H3: The current solid waste management system is inadequate to manage Electronic Waste and would benefit from a facility.Quite frankly I am appalled! I did NOT expect you to write 3-4 pages. All I asked for is some assistance with constructing a thesis and hypothesis. I provided you with all the information all I needed was direction – after all you are supposed to be a tutor. As for the deposit – I already paid a premium to access course hero’s tutor’s which have given me the same lame blanket for the statement for my last two courses – I will soon be writing a review for course hero on a very reputable feed back website which will not have a very positive tone.
