Organizations often use surveys or questionnaires to obtain information regarding employee satisfaction, the organizational issues impacting staff performance, perceptions of pay and benefits, organizational culture, etc. Sometimes, questionnaires are used in classes for staff development and focus on behavioral styles, conflict styles, or team behaviors. Additionally, they may be used to help intact teams or departments focus on and resolve team differences or performance issues. Many times, the questions themselves provide people with insight into what the organization expects from its employees.
In this assignment, you will imagine that you are part of a team that is not performing at a very high level. As a result all members of your team are completing this survey before you attend team training. You are to read the questions in the High Performing Work Teams Survey. You will analyze the questions, identify the trends you see in the questions, and discuss what you and your team members would learn by taking this survey.
Write 4 pages (not counting the cover or reference pages), summarizing the trends you identified, what you and your team members would learn from taking the survey, and conclusions about what is required of team members in order to create a high performing work team. Outside academic sources must be included in this assignment, and you should integrate readings and concepts from our course materials.
Support your opinions and statements with a minimum of five references from sources published within the last ten years. You can cite scholarly and practitioner-oriented journals, newspaper articles, YouTube videos
(but not Wikipedia, vendor websites, or other non-academic sources.) The UMUC online library is a great source. JSTOR, ABI INform, etc., are good databases that can be found in the UMUC library and UMUC librarians can help you identify appropriate sources.
Use APA format for citations, references, and quotations. This means your list of references should start on a separate page, and should be double spaced, with a hanging indent and no spaces between entries. Your report should be 4 pages (not counting the cover or reference pages), double spaced with one inch margins and a font size of at least 11 points.

Throughout history, man has been the perpetrator of some of the most vicious crimes against humanity. This has resulted in the mass killings of hundreds and thousands of innocent men, women and children around the world. The Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide, which was adopted by the United Nations General Assembly in 1948, defines genocide as any of the following acts committed with intent to destroy, in whole or in part, a national, ethnical, racial or religious group, as such:
a) killing members of the group;
b) causing serious bodily or mental harm to members of the group;
c) deliberately inflicting on the group conditions of life calculated to bring about its psychical destruction in whole or in part;
d) imposing measures intended to prevent births within the group;
e) forcibly transferring children of the group to another group.
According to the Peace Pledge Union, a non-government organisation formed in 1934 to promote peace, there have been eight genocides in the twentieth century (Melicharova, 2002), as follows:
• 1904 Namibia
• 1915 Armenia
• 1932 Ukraine
• 1933–45 The Holocaust
• 1975 Cambodia
• 1982 Guatemala
• 1994 Rwanda
• 1995 Bosnia
The Holocaust refers to the period (1933–45) when Adolf Hitler, leader of the Nazi Party, killed approximately 6 million Jewish men, women and children (Gitlin, 2011). The Nazis believed that they were the ‘master race’, and therefore superior, and that the Jews were subhuman and enemies of Germany (Gitlin, 2011). They also murdered a number of Soviet prisoners of war, Polish intellectuals, Romani (gypsies), homosexuals and people with physical and mental disabilities (Tonge, 2009). The Jews were systematically exterminated in concentration or ‘death’ camps in Poland and Germany. If not directly killed, many were ill-treated, used as slave labor and died from lack of adequate food, exhaustion or disease.

This problem wants to re-establish the relationships in the statistics from a regression with the variances and covariances of the random variables (here the returns of AMR and the S&P 500). A. You know that the R-squared of the regression is 0.36 and the stock has a variance of 0.67. The market variance is 0.12 so…what is the beta of the stock? B. You know that AMR did worse than expected by 0.39 percent (0.0039) during the regression and the risk-free rate during the regression period was 4.84%. What is the intercept of the regression?

/in Uncategorized /by developerHigh school graduation, college admissions, and moving away from home. These are among the stepping-stones that mark the transition from adolescence to adulthood. For some people, this transition can be an awkward one. During this transition, they may find themselves wanting freedom to pursue academic and career interests outside of the home, while at the same time continuing to rely on parents or caregivers for financial and emotional support. During this time, some parents might project their own hopes and dreams onto their children, coming to believe that they aren’t living up to family expectations. Likewise, a young adult might be ready to leave the family and become independent but may be incapable of doing so due to internal anxieties and fear of the unknown.
As a counselor, how might you support both a young adult and his or her parents/caregivers during this fragile time?
For this Discussion, review this week’s media, “Young Adulthood,” focusing on the presenting issues of the highlighted family member, aged 19–29. Keeping these issues in mind, select one of the following theoretical models to use as a lens for your Discussion post:
Note: Identify the last name of your assigned client family in the title of your post.
*This post should be written using the Jeong family* Link: Laureate Education (Producer). (2013m). Young adulthood [Video file]. Retrieved from CDN Files Database. (COUN 6215/COUN 8215/HUMN 8215)
Post by Day 4 a description of the client’s developmental level. Explain how you might develop rapport with the client and promote engagement in the counseling process. Briefly describe the counseling approach you might use with this client, based on the theoretical model you have selected. Justify your response with references to this week’s Learning Resources and the current literature. Be specific.

Compute the indifference point between the two financing alternatives.
If the expected level of EBIT for the firm is $240,000 with a standard deviation of $50,000, what is the probability that the debt financing alternatives will produce higher earnings than the equity alternative? (EBIT is normally distributed.)
If the debt alternative is chosen, what is the probability that the company will have negative earnings per share in any period?

High Stakes Assessment Evaluating Research Hypotheses
/in Uncategorized /by developerFor this assignment, you will be putting your knowledge of both basic and advanced statistical analyses to the test. You will be given a series of research hypotheses and will be asked to evaluate each hypothesis.
Research Situation 1
Researchers were interested in examining whether yoga was more effective in reducing stress compared to a heavy cardio workout (i.e., running) and a light cardio workout (i.e., walking). To test this possibility, researchers randomly assigned participants to experience either yoga, running, or walking workouts. They then measured stress using a 10-item perceived stress measure with scores ranging from 1 (low stress) to 6 (high stress) and taking participant blood pressure. Both measures were measured one week after participation in one of the three workout conditions.
Hypothesis: The researchers hypothesized that those participating in yoga would be associated with significantly lower perceived stress and blood pressure compared to those who experienced the walking workout but not compared to those who experienced the running workout.
Research Situation 2
Researchers were interested in examining whether political ideology was associated with stronger religious beliefs. They measured political ideology using a single item on a scale of 1 (liberal) to 6 (conservative) and religious beliefs using a single item also on a scale of 1 (not religious) to 6 (very religious).
Hypothesis: The researchers hypothesized that more conservative beliefs would be associated with stronger religious beliefs.
Research Situation 3
Researchers were interested in examining how different types of social support impact the stress response to stressful situations. Current research in the field also suggested that females respond differently to stress compared to males. Thus, researchers were interested in examining whether men and women differ in their responses to different forms of social support when experiencing stressful situations. Other research in the field also suggested that physical stress responses to stressful situations were affected by preexisting general health. Participants were randomly assigned to one of two social support conditions—emotional and instrumental. Stress was measured by examining perceived stress using a single item on a scale of 1 (not at all stressed) to 6 (very stressed) and heart rate in average beats per minute.
Hypothesis 1: The researchers hypothesized that females would display a different perceived stress response to emotional support compared to males and females who received instrumental support.
Hypothesis 2: The researchers also hypothesized that females would display a different average heart rate in response to emotional support compared to all other conditions but only when controlling for general health.
For each hypothesis provided, you will:
