All these are used differently by poets to portray the message that they intend to even when the subject matter at hand is the same. Both Dylan Thomas and Wilfred Owen have based their poems, ‘Do Not Go Gentle into the Good Night’ and ‘Disabled’ respectively, on the subject matter of death. To portray this theme, both poets have effectively used language and different literary devices like repetition and similes. Despite the fact that they portray the same thematic concerns, the literary devices have been used in different ways to signify different aspects. This paper will compare and contrast the two poems based on the use of literary devices. Similes have been used as literary devices in both poems. In the poem ‘Do Not Go Gentle into that Good Night’, the use if simile is evident in the line ‘blind eyes could blaze like meteors and be gay’. Here, Thomas compares blind eyes to meteors, the word blaze signifies the fact that blind men burn with a zest for life and do not give up. The simile shows that even though blind men may be helpless, they still strive to live and not die. This contributes to the theme in that many people do not wish to die. ‘Saddening like a hymn’ is the simile in the poem ‘disabled’. Sadness is being compared to something so happy like a hymn.

Hi Need To Submit A 500 Words Essay On The Topic Abortion Right And Wrong The We

Hi, need to submit a 500 words essay on the topic Abortion, Right and Wrong.

The wealthy were able to travel abroad or pay high fees to a local doctor willing to perform the procedure, but a poor woman was required to resort to less safe options. Prohibiting abortions does not and has never stopped them from occurring. it just acts to harm women.

Those opposed to Roe also argue that if the Constitution does not directly address an issue, then the Congress, not the courts should decide matters such as this which have weighty moral implications. The Roe decision essentially addressed this question by asserting the government’s concern for the life of the unborn does not outweigh the constitutional rights of the born and thus their decision to allow pregnancy terminations. The Court did draw a line distinguishing what is considered murder of a child. On this issue, those that oppose abortion rights do have legal justification for debate. Viability seems to be an appropriate benchmark because in the early weeks following conception, the fetus is not a conscious being although those of religious conviction argue that it does have a soul. Viability is somewhat scientifically determined while the presence of a soul is not. Therefore, the line can only be drawn at the viability of the unborn as any other method by which to determine when abortions are considered murder is unclear (Dorf, 2003).

Those opposed to abortion claim that the fetus, viable or not, is a living being much the same as a child or adult. Mothers who have had abortions certainly cannot believe she is killing a living child or the practice would be a rare procedure. “I don’t think, in most cases, that the woman who aborts her child, consciously believes she is killing a person. As philosopher Francis Beckwith points out, “why do women only kill their fetuses when confronted with practical difficulties, rather than their already born children, if they truly believe their fetuses are fully human?” (cited in Smith,

Hi Need To Submit A 500 Words Essay On The Topic Accounting Since Ccl Is An Exis

Hi, need to submit a 500 words essay on the topic ACCOUNTING.

Since CCL is an existing client for GE Capital, it should approve the loan at a lower interest rate of 4% and, on the other hand, extend the loan payment period to ten years. By doing this, it will achieve their strategy of keeping existing customers. The CCL financial statements indicate that it generates sufficient cash flow of a net earnings of $97.120 that is able to finance the interest payment of the new loan on a monthly basis. On the other hand, the CCL debt to equity ratio will not exceed 4: 1 when the new loan is included as required by CEF (Dirubbo).

Loan disapproval to CCL: Disapproving loan to CCL will not favor the company’s strategy of keeping existing customers. In case the company loses CCL, It will have to find a new client to replace, and this requires the company to incur some costs hence not economical in the end. Hence, the cost of replacing existing clients could enable the company to find and win new businesses. The cost of losing existing clients as compared to finding new ones outweighs in the end. Therefore, to minimize the impact of losing CCL as well as the extra costs of finding new businesses, the company should approve the loan (Plumlee et al.).

Short-term plan: The loan approval for $ 306, 000 to CCL to finance the trucking contract between Ford and the supplier is recommendable. The company should reduce the rate of interest from five percent to four percent and extend the period of payment to ten years. This will reduce the monthly payments facilitating provision of monthly reports of financial activities of CCL for the first year of loan repayments. The implementation of the loan approval on an immediate time is required since CCL meets the company’s requirements. This will motivate CCL to continue being clients and even attracting new businesses as well.

Medium Term Plan: After the first year, the payments are separated to quarterly submission until the first loan of $ 36,000 is financed within the period of 8 years

Hi Need To Submit A 500 Words Essay On The Topic Address The Three Questions In

Hi, need to submit a 500 words essay on the topic Address the three questions in bold.

There are many components to this power distribution, but some of the more visible examples include the research and manufacturing of medical technology, massive pharmaceutical corporations, and the control of medical insurance/management. Some of the forces allowing the privatization of healthcare include historically consistent opposition to government interference and healthcare reform, the decline of programs like Medicare, and the high cost of medicine including materials and salaries that can be met by wealthy corporations.

Private businesses have not always been in control of healthcare systems. Physicians were largely independent prior to government interference near the dawn of the 20th century (US Department of Health and Human Services, 2011). Working within regulations, physicians became highly paid and respected professionals in the 1920s (PBS, 2011). At the same time, private insurance began to find an audience due to the increasingly high costs of healthcare. Costs continued to rise through the of the century as more advanced pharmaceuticals and procedures are introduced. Insurance rates increased with these expenses, giving rise to federally endorsed HMOs (health maintenance organizations) in the 1970s.

It was not until the 1980s that corporate American began to gain primary control of the healthcare system. Hospitals, pharmaceuticals, research labs, and many other components of the system were becoming businesses (if they werent already) and more people found themselves unable to afford health insurance. These trends continue to accelerate (Fisher, Bynum, and Skinner, 2009).

Examining the evolution of healthcare control provides valuable insight for current health care administrators. Evaluating and optimizing the operation of a healthcare organization must include a comprehensive consideration of the forces involved. Operating as a business, a healthcare organization must account for and minimize costs at every

Hi Need To Submit A 500 Words Essay On The Topic Adolescent On The Other Hand In

Hi, need to submit a 500 words essay on the topic Adolescent.

On the other hand, in the western cultures adolescents are charged with minimal responsibilities. This goes to prove that adolescents are perceived differently across various cultures.

There are major changes that take place in a person’s life during this period in life emotional, physically and socially. First, adolescents are highly emotional and sensitive to any changes that take place in their environment. Secondly, they go through some social changes where some of them withdraw and spend most of their time locked in their rooms. Thirdly, they go through major physical changes in their reproductive system. experience a general increase in body weight and size. For males, their voice grows deeper and they become more masculine (Piaget and Brbel 21). On the other hand, females look more feminine where their feminine features become more pronounced like breasts and hips.

An adolescent’s brain undergoes through various changes and studies have shown this structurally. Scans have revealed that the volume of the gray matter increases while that of the cortex region increases and later decreases. This is an integral part of the maturation process. This explains why teenagers are impulsive and less self-aware than adults (Piaget and Brbel 33). In my opininion teenagers should not be charged for crimes in a similar way as adults. This owes to the fact that their brains are not fully developed and thus immature. As such, they are more susceptible to engage in highly impulsive and irrational actions.

Piaget’s and Vygotsky’s theories of cognitive development are essential in the education setting and can be used to structure assignments and lessons for high school learners. This is because the theories state that teenagers learn by observing what is in their environment and this is the most effective way of learning (Piaget and Brbel 42). In other words,

Hi Need To Submit A 500 Words Essay On The Topic Am I Blue By Alice Walker Simpl

Hi, need to submit a 500 words essay on the topic Am I Blue by Alice Walker.

Simply put, it is impossible to disagree with the idea that we consider animals to be free and that we are kind to the animals around us. It is hypocritical for a society to suggest that animals are treated with kindness while we hold them prisoner in racks, force-feed them, use them as beasts of burden, take away whatever they can produce for us and then eat them since we are omnivores. Moreover, we do what we want to the animals and to the planet we live on simply because we have been given dominion.

Undoubtedly, the article has powerful imagery and makes it quite clear than consuming meat only makes us a part of the system which is cruel to animals while keeping us in a bind of hypocrisy. So perhaps the better suggestion would be to stop the hypocrisy in society and be clear about how we feel about animals in general. The cute ones we will save and preserve e.g. the polar bear or the panda, the ugly ones can go extinct for all we care e.g. the Komodo dragon and the dodo, while the ones which provide us with food will undergo genetic treatment to give us as much as we want in terms of meat and dairy products.

It seems that there is nothing wrong in being honest since we have used animals for centuries and even hunt them for our sport, race them for our gambling, sacrifice them for our religions and exterminate them when we need more land for our cities. So perhaps it is time for being honest since despite the articles written by those who support animal rights, it is not likely that McDonald’s is going to stop selling double quarter pounders any time soon.

So the idea of being ‘kind’ and ‘humane’ is little more than a lie which we tell ourselves to keep us happy. It is said that once a person sees sausages being made, s/he would never eat them. Perhaps it is time we realize that the sausages we make and the various types

Hi Need To Submit A 500 Words Essay On The Topic An Analysis Of Macroeconomic An

Hi, need to submit a 500 words essay on the topic An analysis of macroeconomic and industry conditions of woolworths.

ASX reveals the details of Woolworths and Wesfarmers in the competitive market. It is a financial market exchange that offers services such as listings clearing, settlement, and trading across a wide range of asset classes. Woolworths is a retail chain store that deals with food merchandise. On the other hand, Wesfarmers is a company that deals with retail operations covering food merchandise, supermarkets, specialty department stores, liquor and fuel outlets, office and home supplies etc (Mankiw, 2003).

A set of factors largely influence how companies, for instance Woolworths and Wesfarmers, will operate. These factors determine whether or not a particular company will meet its mission as well as realise its vision. The Australia-New Zealand Closer Economic Relations Trade Agreement (ANZCERTA) is a pact that combines Australia and New Zealand. Woolworths strives to meet the needs of its large market of customers in both countries. This is made simpler due to the fact that political stability is experienced in both countries. Political stability is a crucial factor in development. Economic factors are quite advantageous to Woolworths considering that Australia and New Zealand show economic stability. Based on gross domestic product, Australia and New Zealand are ranked 10th and 30th respectively the by International Monetary Fund (Mankiw, 2003).

Customers are loyal to companies that meet their individual desires. These desires include preference for organic products over inorganic ones. These socio-cultural factors influence the companies’ strategies as they also desire to fully tap into the market. The purchasing power of the customers is good due to the economic stability that fuels the high standard of living. In addition, legal and regulatory factors such as policies favour the retail industry in Australia. It is these factors that make Woolworths a huge beneficiary. However,

Hi Need To Submit A 500 Words Essay On The Topic An Author Can Stress Plot Setti

Hi, need to submit a 500 words essay on the topic An author can stress plot, setting, characterization, or theme when writing a work of fiction.

wever, rather than being an isolated event, alienation here is depicted as an inevitable process which begins with alienation from external forces and ultimately leads to alienation from within one’s own physical and emotional states.

Right at the beginning of the story, prior to his physical metamorphosis, Gregor already appears to be alienated in some way. This initial suggestion of alienation surrounds his external environment. his work, social life and to some extent, his family. He reflects over the monotony of his life in terms of his job, a monotony he endures due to the pressure of having to support his family financially. He appears to have no friends or social life to speak of, and his family seem to take his support for granted. Even the duty of caring for his family seems to be something strange to him, as he hardly realizes it when he loses this duty by the end.

After establishing Gregors alienation from his societal environment and duties, we begin to see the process of deeper alienation from his family, his immediate environment, his emotions and his body. When he wakes to find his body changed, he is so disconnected from it he hides away from those closest to him. As his family become aware of the situation, they cease speaking to him altogether, eventually determining that the animal they see before them is not Gregor, “You must just try to get rid of the idea that this is Gregor. The fact that we’ve believed it for so long is the root of all our trouble”, (Kafka 40). After the metamorphosis Gregor undergoes total alienation from his house and environment. Symbolic of this, Gregor cannot even view his street through the window and hence he slowly becomes a foreigner in his own family and home, without a productive role to play, as his family treat him with neglect and revulsion.

The metamorphosis Gregor undergoes highlights the fact that the author is attempting to stress his theme of alienation more so than any other element. Gregor

Hi Need To Submit A 500 Words Essay On The Topic Analysis On The Treadway Tire C

Hi, need to submit a 500 words essay on the topic Analysis on The Treadway Tire Company.

Raw materials depended on the price of oil, which has rapidly increased from $ 20 per barrel to $ 90 barrel in 2007 influencing the economics of tire firms. The rising cost of raw materials was posing a great impact on the company’s economy. Further, Lima Tire plant was facing serious morale problems with the line-foreman. Their dissatisfaction was starting to affect the entire company.

The plant presently is undergoing massive expansion in that it aims to modernize its efforts that will increase the plant’s capacity and use new manufacturing technology. In addition, Lima plant has become one of the Treadways top plants in quality ratings and productivity because of the enhanced technology and updated equipment. Treadway closed Greenville Plant situated in South Carolina because of outdated equipment and moved some equipment to Lima. Therefore, with the additional volume, Lima moved to continuous operations, which has allowed Treadways to amortize the substantial fixed costs of operating a tire plant over maximum production volume. Current issues within the plant is the rising cost of raw materials, high level of job dissatisfaction and tension that exist between hourly paid workers and foremen. Currently, there are no enough people qualified to be promoted to the ranks of foreman.

The company desires to solve the turnover problem in order to make Lima Plant become Treadway’s top plant for productivity and its lowest cost producer in North America. The Company wants to have employees who are satisfied with their work. Due to this, the company conducted an employee satisfaction research, noticed that some supervisors were not happy with the job, and was concerned about the positions of line supervisors. There is need to increase intercompany transfers and the percentage of college graduates.

Summarily, the increase in costs of operation should allow the company to increase
