writing question 1 1

The Issue Exploration assignment helps students to select a research topic and begin moving toward a more specific research question. In this discussion, work with your classmates on identifying a research question that is neither too broad nor too narrow.

Initial post (by Wednesday):

After reviewing “Your Research Question,” consider potential research questions. Post your topic and research question idea(s) here.

Some reminders:

  1. You can list multiple possibilities here, but your research should ultimately be focused on one guiding question. Aim for each idea you list to be a possibility for guiding your entire paper focus.
  2. Your research question should be one for which you can formulate a position through your research. It should not be a question with a single answer that you will locate through your research. For example, “What are the different types of phishing?” is not a good research question because it is one that has a defined answer that you can locate. “What types of phishing will become more common in the next five years and how should businesses be prepared?” is a good research question because you can formulate a position, based on your research, in response to the question.

evidence base in design 1

When politics and medical science intersect, there can be much debate. Sometimes anecdotes or hearsay are misused as evidence to support a particular point. Despite these and other challenges, however, evidence-based approaches are increasingly used to inform health policy decision-making regarding causes of disease, intervention strategies, and issues impacting society. One example is the introduction of childhood vaccinations and the use of evidence-based arguments surrounding their safety.

In this Discussion, you will identify a recently proposed health policy and share your analysis of the evidence in support of this policy.

To Prepare:

  • Review the Congress website and identify one recent (within the past 5 years) proposed health policy.
  • Review the health policy you identified and reflect on the background and development of this health policy.

By Day 3 of Week 7

Post a description of the health policy you selected and a brief background for the problem or issue being addressed. Explain whether you believe there is an evidence base to support the proposed policy and explain why. Be specific and provide examples.

provide a real life example of a time when you were working together on a project with someone who has a different learning style than your own how did you overcome this difference

Part 1

Provide a real-life example of a time when you were working together on a project with someone who has a different learning style than your own. Share your results from the index of the learning styles questionnaire.

  • How did you overcome this difference?

The picture that that is attached goes with part 1. Must be no more than 500 words.

Part 2

This section describes a case in which a paralegal who had been orally promised a bonus of $1,065,000 was deprived of the bonus in a dispute because no written agreement existed as to the bonus as would have been required by the Statute of Frauds. That an agreement was had was beyond dispute, because there existed a (secret) recording detailing the promise of the bonus between the paralegal and his/her employer. As your text explains, the Statute of Frauds requires certain types of contracts (such as contracts to buy or sale land) to be both made in writing and executed with the physical signatures of all of the parties involved. This requirement was clearly not met. Further, the undisclosed recording of the agreement constitutes a crime. Was a fair result handed down in this matter? What, if anything, would you do to modify the Court’s decision?

  2. Describe consumers’ behavior when it comes to buying toilet paper. Essentially, how do consumers “think” when it comes to toilet paper purchase? Include in your discussion the process, criteria and tradeoffs consumers make.
  3. Evaluate the evolution of Renova’s print campaign as illustrated in the case. Decide whether this campaign contributes to or diminishes Renova’s brand equity. Make the strongest case you can for your position.
  4. The case ends with Pereira evaluating five strategic decisions. Come to a decision about which of the five directions (if any) makes most sense for Renova. Make the strongest case you can for your choice (or a choice not listed) by framing your analysis in terms of strategic marketing objective(s) and how the successful implementation of your choice achieves that/those objective(s) for Renova. Note: Be realistic here. There are always tradeoffs. Consider those fully.
