Everything we learned about simple linear regression is a special case of multiple regression. Multiple regression is required when a single-predictor model is inadequate to describe the true relationship between the response variable y and its potential predictors (x1, x2, x3 . . .). Adding predictors is more than a matter of “improving the fit.”

A multiple regression is used to define linear relationship between a response variable y and more than one explanatory variable x. In multiple regression, more than one explanatory variable are used to explain or predict a single response variable. The multiple regression model assumes that the mean of the response variable y depends on p explanatory variables according to a linear function ‘μy = β0 + β1×1 + β1×2 +…+ β1xp’. In this case, the mean response is not observed, as the observed values of y vary about their means. However, we can think of subpopulations of responses, each corresponding to a particular set of values for all of the explanatory variables, and in each subpopulation, y varies normally with a mean given by the population regression equation. The regression model assumes that the standard deviation σ of the responses is same in all subpopulations.

A logistic regression is used when the response variable has only two possible values such as success or failure, live or die, acceptable or not. Logistic regressions work with odds rather than proportions. The odds are simply the ratio of the proportions for the two possible outcomes. The logistic regression model relates the log of the odds to the explanatory variable. A logistic regression models the log odds as a linear function of the explanatory variable, which is given by the equation ‘log odds = β0 + β1x’.

A simple linear regression is a flexible way of analyzing linear relationships between two quantitative variables. A key assumption for simple linear regression model is that the deviations from the model fit

Hi I Need Help With Essay On Macro Business Cycles Paper Must Be At Least 500 Wo

Hi, I need help with essay on Macro : Business Cycles. Paper must be at least 500 words. Please, no plagiarized work!

Expansion cycle is the upward movement from the recession and the subsequent rise up to the next peak (Moore 36). This is because of the increase in the GDP accompanied by the decline in the number of unemployed population. The unemployment rate is estimated to remain stable between 8.2%-8.5percent by the end of the year (Kennedy 23). In 2012, the US GDP was $ 15880.21 billion and a GDP growth rate of 2.872. US economy as per now records increases in the inflation level, which means that the rate of spending and prices of goods are on the rise (Stock and Watson 56). Another feature that makes US economy be at the expansion cycle is the fact that the output level has increased and thus translating into an increase in the export level to other nations. Consequently, the US dollar is stable against other major currencies.

The expansion of US economy can be attributed to the increase in the level of consumption and increase in the level of sales and investment. The increased performance was also recorded in many sectors of the economy. The decline in the net export however slowed down the growth of the economy (Hall 43). The unemployment rate decline was because of the increase in the level of economic activities and the establishment of unemployment insurance fund and other transfers provided by the government to the unemployed. Ben Bernanke remarks further attribute the expansion to the policies that were formulated to stabilize the economy after the 2008 recession.

Q2. A forecast on the economic performance, reveal that the economy is likely to continue experiencing growth at the rate of about 2.3% compared to the 1.7% growth in 2011. The economic growth will be driven by the increasing rate of job creation and expanding investment in purchase of equipments that is used in production (Kiplinger 64). The turnaround in the US housing industry, which is also a component of the business cycle, will cause an upward shift in the economic performance. The

The impressive employment and inflation figures in Germany may be attributed to sound economic policies that the country has held over the years. For instance, by reducing public spending and ensuring high standards of accountability in the government’s system, Germany was able to withstand the turbulent effects of the European debt crisis that affected some European countries, though the debt crises affected other Eurozone members leading to the current inflation rate in Germany. The country has the Euro as its main currency though undervalued compared to Deutschmark’s real value. Moreover, Germany is one of the countries that have managed to raise the working hour flexibility and reduction in structural unemployment. These factors have been critical in sustaining Germany’s economy, leading to a sound job market that translates in a low unemployment rate. Strong fiscal policies in public spending and deficit cuts have led Germany to reduce its debt burdens, a significant step towards controlling its inflation rates. However, Germany’s unemployment rate may be blamed on its transition system of education that holds many youths in vocational schools, which hardly translate to real job opportunities. Such transition schools do not offer skills that are relevant in the market, with graduates from these centres failing to secure jobs. One way to reduce the unemployment rate is to deal with policies that would encourage Foreign Direct investments, FDIs. Currently, FDI in Germany stands at $40.4 billion (Heritage Foundation, 2013). This is not enough for a country with a sound economy and better export terms than its Eurozone members are. By attracting FDIs, more economic activities will spur across the country, suggesting more employment and reduced inflation rates. 2. German fiscal policies are designed with a view to reduce unemployment levels and prevent any recessionary forces in the economy. For instance, in 2010, the government had to cut more than 14 million euros in taxes. in 2011, the government agreed to cut another 24 million in income taxes (Stifftung, 2013). The benefit of tax cuts as a fiscal policy in Germany was that the government managed to close a significant recession gap. The result was stimulated economic growth through encouraged consumption. Furthermore, the economy had a better chance to readjust while the government concentrates more in job creation. This explains why Germany has a stable economy considering the low taxation and increased employment opportunities. However, the disadvantage was that the government through these tax cuts reduced its budgetary allocations to important sectors in the development of the country. The country could have funded social development projects with the huge amounts of taxes forfeited in tax cuts. The European Central Bank is mainly responsible for Germany’s monetary policies (Stifftung, 2013). When the bank raises interest rates to curb rising inflation rates, the result is a change in the cost of living considering commodities will have unstable prices as a response to the interest rates increase. Most Germans would have to save rather than spend, faced increased costs of borrowing that hampered developments and higher interests rates for government debts. The increase would have a negative effect on both the government and Germans in general and may have slowed down development.

Hi I Need Help With Essay On Macroeconomics Paper Must Be At Least 1500 Words Pl

Hi, I need help with essay on MACROECONOMICS. Paper must be at least 1500 words. Please, no plagiarized work!

In economics, the guiding principle is to never lose, every amount of money leaving ones coffers must always earn more to the business.

This increased influx of money is likely to lower the interest rates in the current market. Interest refers to the additional value that money earns especially from debtors. Money lending is a big business opportunity for banks. they give out money and retain a security which could be in the form of a motor vehicle logbook or a land title deed. When the debtor pays the money back to the bank, he pays a little more, the additional amount is referred top as the interest and is the profit that the banks get from such risky undertakings. Incase the debtor fails to re-service the loan. the security is sold to meet the defaulted amount.

The policy is aimed at making the bank having more capital base and liberalizing ther money market. By increasing the amount of money the economy becomes more stable, however, this must be done very cautiously to avoid instances of devaluation. Devaluation of currency is a case in which the value of an amount is lowered. This is different from recession in which more money equally purchases very little in that this is done by the government knowingly with an aim of later strengthening the economy from some of the benefit it tags along. Recession has no benefit whatsoever and is in fact a portrayal of an economic crisis (Miller 133).

The figure represents some miss-measurements since just as stated. the resultant figure should be zero. The economies in the world are self fulfilling, some could be very poor like that in Zimbabwe while others could be very strong such as the American but when al these are totaled up, the resultant figure is a zero and a failure to get a zero reflects discrepancies.

The pattern is very clear, the developed countries are lending while the developing countries are borrowing. Borrowing is a sign of weakness and plays an integral role in the

According to the World Health Organization, the number of people suffering from depression is 121 million, resulting in 850.000 suicide deaths every year (WHO 2010).&nbsp.Various factors, have been implicated in the etiology of the disorder, such as genetic factors (Plotsky et al. 1998, Anacker et al. 2010, Janssen et al. 2010), biological factors(Seitz et al. 2010, Weinberger et al. 2010, Kirsh 2010) and social factors (Brendgen et al. 2005, Costello et al. 2008, Wright et al 2010). The need for an individualized approach to the assessment and more importantly, to the treatment plan and follow-up of each patient, becomes evident.&nbsp.The main goal of this essay is to review the case study of a client with the major depressive disorder, addressing all the pertinent issues, such as patient’s history, assessment procedures, diagnostic formulation and therapeutic options.&nbsp.Mary is a 53-year-old housewife and a mother of three sons, their ages being 35, 34 and 28 years, which are all living independently and two of them moved abroad a few years before. Nine months ago she lost her husband, who died of cancer rather unexpectedly. Her husband was diagnosed with the widespread metastatic disease after their summer vacation, and he had visited his doctor to complain of an “innocent low back pain”. Mary was present at the doctor’s office the day they were given the bad news. Her husband deteriorated rapidly afterward and lived only for five months, suffering a tragic end. Through the course of her husband’s disease, Mary was his main assistant. She would drive him for his chemotherapies, make all the necessary arrangements with his physician, cook in a “sterile” manner, give him his painkiller injections, and even bathe him in the end, when he was bedridden.

However, as this century came to an end, the entire globe was engulfed in destructive world wars and huge financial crisis. This time is also referred to as the First Great Age of Global Capitalism. Then came the time of great maturation called as globalization. Also of critical importance, this stage became apparent in the world at the last quarter of the 20th century. As time passed and globalization gathered pace through the revolutionary techniques of verbal communication, the interdependence of web grew more and more. The interdependence thus related the every country in the world (Gilpin and Gilpin, Moses and Knutsen, 365).

In Maldives the effect had been more or less the same. The interdependence thus introduced in the country by destroying old walls around most of the issues. The politics in Maldives can also not be separated in two separate clauses of domestic and international. As for the foreign policy, it has also moved beyond the terms of realism. Of course, like the past, one cannot ignore the increasing pace and scope of the events occurring internationally. Maldives has also been affected by the reduction of space as well as time as it has presented the country with a lot of trade-offs. More specifically, it has become difficult for countries like Maldives to focus on one area at the expense of the other area. Maldives is thus known as a Faraway Flashpoint which is undergoing fast changes in technical, social, political, and economic arenas. Maldives thus focuses on cooperation as it is necessary for its survival (Moses and Knutsen, 367).

As far as the patterns of changes are concerned, it has been observed that the country holds the transformationalist Perspective. This can be determined by the trends of political change since the country has now been reconstituted and restructured in its essence. In
