Writing assignments are judged on the quality of the response. Word count is NOT one of the criteria that is used in assigning points to writing assignments. However, students who are successful in earning the maximum number of points tend to submit writing assignments that are 350-500 words (1-2 pages) per question.Your writing assignments will need to be typed double-spaced, using a standard font and 12 point type size.

The majority of your response should be your own original writing based on what you have learned from the textbook. Be sure to provide a citation and a reference for any materials used, including the required textbook. The following points are designed to help you understand how to provide proper citations and references for your work:

• Sources are listed in two places.
• The first, a citation, is briefly listed within your answer. This includes identifying information that directs the reader to your list of references at the end of your writing assignment.
• The second, a reference, is at the end of your work in the list of references section.
• All sources cited should follow APA style and provide enough identifying information so that the reader can access the original material.

Pick one of the following terms for your research: economies of scale, economies of scope, global companies, global teams, globalization strategy, international division, joint venture, multidomestic strategy, multinational stage, or standardization.

Definition: a brief definition of the key term followed by the APA reference for the term; this does not count in the word requirement.

Summary: Summarize the article in your own words- this should be in the 150-200-word range. Be sure to note the article’s author, note their credentials and why we should put any weight behind his/her opinions, research or findings regarding the key term.

Discussion: Using 300-350 words, write a brief discussion, in your own words of how the article relates to the selected chapter Key Term. A discussion is not rehashing what was already stated in the article, but the opportunity for you to add value by sharing your experiences, thoughts and opinions. This is the most important part of the assignment.

References: All references must be listed at the bottom of the submission–in APA format. (continued) Be sure to use the headers in your submission to ensure that all aspects of the

Refereces should be recent peer reviewed article (within the past 3 years) that closely relate to the concept.

• Read and write critical reflection on “Final Complete Report” (it is a PDF under Modules)
  • You will submit a 2-3 page critical reflection.
    • 12 pt font times new roman, double spaced
    • No fancy indentations –you’re not slick 🙂

• Include title (be creative if you like)

• Do not include your name or my name
• Choose any 2of the “10 Myths” outlined by the authors
• Describe them in detail and relate them to the chapter. This should take half to three quarters of a page. In what’s left I want you to come up with realistic solutions/policies that would help alleviate the wealth gap and also address the two myths themselves. Use at least two outside sources. One of which must be peer-reviewed (a scholarly journal article or book—not the text book) the other can be of your choice.

  • Submit a paragraph on how you did? Were you able to make it through the month? What was the most difficult part? How does the history of this country contribute to the overrepresentation of racial and ethnic minorities in these situations?

Final Paper – Decision-Making Report

In your Finals Paper, you will select a topic associated with decision-making to write a report. There are many areas you can explore, but for this course you must select from the following areas:

• decision making models,
• behaviors in decision making,
• the relationship between data and decisions,
• using technology in decision making,
• cognitive biases,
• ethical decision making,
• strategies for decision making,
• or traditional vs. evidence-based decision making.

The goal is for you to become ‘evidence’ minded as you learn how to look for resources that provide the evidence needed to make strategic decisions.

Your report should be approximately 5-8 pages, written in APA format. You should include answers to the following:

1. What is the topic you are covering?
2. Why is it important?
3. Who could benefit from this knowledge?
4. What four key takeaways did you learn in your general research?
5. Any additional thoughts or findings associated with the topic.
6. How can one apply your findings to the real world?
7. Conclusion.

You should incorporate at a minimum 5 key terms from your textbooks and learnings from the course, as well as cite from at least 5 outside academic peer-reviewed resources.

Using the principles learned throughout the class critically answer the following question assuming the roles of CEO & CFO: What is your recommendation to the Board of Directors in order to maximize shareholder value? Grading will be based on how well students critically apply concepts in class to evaluate the company and at the minimum include the following:

Company in this project: McDonald’s

(i) company overview, key managers and managerial decisions, financial history and background;

(ii) complete financial analysis using a variety of methods (i.e. ratios, DCF, WACC v. ROIC, equity/debt, etc.);
