This will be the beginning of the decline of the Federalist faction (again still no political parties), but they will still maintain their influence especially in the courts. (John Marshall as Chief Justice of the Supreme Court will wield enormous power for 30 more years.)

Jefferson had a distinct vision for the United States. What was it and who were the ideal citizens in his view? What do you think of Jefferson’s vision? Does it seem practical?

Does Jeffersonian democracy still affect the way we think of our country today?

Choose a topic you are interested in. Topics must be about Florida history with a chronology that falls between prehistory to 1820. The later the topic, the more sources will be available.
