nothing exposes the poverty of our current political dialogue more than the discussion of national missile defense. Despite abundant evidence of the foolishness and danger of deploying a system that will waste vast domestic resources the american voting public is given the choice between a candidate who embraces its land deployment and a candidate who wants to expand it to sea and space.
